i wana wish you all a merry x-mas and i do wish every one in this community that we call freestyle,, us "hearthrobers"... i wish a very happy new year.
i wana send blessings to all who have writen me and contacted me..thanks for the coments and suport.
remember to educate the masses and spread the word of our scene, our history, our identity. especailly to the younger generations...it must be told. thats very important.

yes miami FREESTYLE LEGEND FRANK "OBA" LORDS
and the success of "darkbeat". the song is larger than life.
through out the years, frank gave us flavor as SECRET SOCIETY in the 80's freestyle days, 90's gave us latin Xpress with the tribal/latin house ("chango") and now with teaming up with oscar g (of murk) and is giving us "darkbeat"

so its good to hear that memebers of our freestyle family continue to flourish in many ways.
I talked briefly with tony moran,, who span at maze in south beach this past saturday. still is one of the most gifted djs i have ever heard and is ranking high in the world of the gay circuit. has a new cd coming out "RISE" (mix cd) on centour records..out now this month.
as many should know..suport Tony maoran..as he is one of the few producers out there making noise in the dance world and larger parts of the industry..at the same time still has his foot and contributes to the freestyle scene.
and i would like to give him props..for not neglecting his freestyle roots on his mini interview on one of floridas weekly gay magazines ..as he credited the freestyle genre and mentioned his days with albert cabrera, as the latin rascals, aurther bakers shakdown studios, the cover girls and how it all opened the door for others like tka, safire, the freestyle era and for later artist like lissete melendez.
how his mixes today have a heavy influences from back in the day,
especially the energy and the way he makes people sing along to the records on the dance floor.
so i thought that was really cool...cuz you know how many people get infront of a camera and dont mention that "f" word. and they try to boost up thier image..."I was top 40!!, I was dance",lol.
youl know what i mean!!lol.
(especailly in magazines that worship house gods like junior vasquez, manny lehman, victor calderone..).
anyway,
so yes...i wana send mad love to every one and wish yo guys a merry x-mas. and happy new year. if your jewish, happy hanukha ( i hope i seplled it right,lol).
but this year has been a better year for freestyle and i know in the coming one, we will see more releases of freestyle/break records..we will see more artist come back as others retire, we will see more involvment from the other indusrty majors, and we will see the starts of shiftments in music this coming year.
ill see you all at the "TAI SHAN BALL II" and other freestyle parties during wmc week 2003.
