Salsa is the shiz. The only Salsa I can really listen to is DLG, but their songs are too slow to dance to. I looking for a steady dance partner, but no luck so far. As for Hip Hop, I just like dancing to it, because there are more moves for it, and most people my age like it. And it bumps! If it wasn't for DJing, I might've avoided Hip Hop altogether. Freestyle is my workout music and my car-driving music.
Good for you on that Architect major. That was one of my choices, too. (I'm not shitting you just to copy you.) Leave your choices open. I changed majors twice.

Jason, I love DLG. But not all their songs are slow, for example, on their first album (Swing On) track #5 "Ya" is all that and all beats. It's danceable from beginning to end. I dedicated that song to my ex. He felt like shit after listening to it.

I just love their songs. I dance to it all the time. When one of their songs come up at a party, I just jump off my seat and grab the first person I see even if they cant dance. I just make them look good on the dance floor.

But, my favorite is "A Veces Me Pregunto" on their Greatest Hits CD and, of course, "La Quiero A Morir". I see how you mean about their songs being slow. They start off slow at first and the phat shit pops up. That's the part I like. The phat shit.

Too bad we can't be able to dance at a party some day. The guys here are WACK when it comes to Salsa. A lot of them don't know how to dance. Sometimes I have to take my best- friend out on the dance floor to feel the music. It gets boring after a while cause she does the same shit, you know what i'm saying!

I Just found this site and am really impressed! I am Freestyle /dance producer who is currently missing my favorite music because I am in Orlando producing a pop/funk album. I can't wait to get back to my first love, freestyle!! I Like so many styles of music and have been in a lot of bands; I've made different recordings with everything from rap to ska to jazz using saxophone, flute, turntables and samplers. Music is one of the best things in life- can I get a witness? As for how I look I'm 6'5" German-American(but I speak fluent Spanish). There's a not-so-great picture of me inside the Alexis album "The Rhythm" (that's not a shameless plug). I Produced about half of that album and most of the highly anticipated Sharyn Maceren album. I don't think it's even out yet but her site is at www.Captaurecords.com. For all those who like her hit single "Hard to Get" (released as 'S-Factor') you'll love her new material. I'm doing my part to rid freestyle of it's reputation as low-quality, beat-stealing music. Let's reshape freestyle into the high-quality art form it is!
