I'm moving from northern Illinois/Chicagoland to West Palm Beach this month. Do any stations down there play Freestyle? (probably not given mainstream radio's absolute hate toward Freestyle but I thought I'd ask). I think WPB is a bit too far from Miami (70 miles) to be the same market and to pick up Miami stations. Do Freestyle artists perform in WPB? Also what are, if any, decent clubs to goto down there?

There is a station down in florida that is playing freestyle now but the location slips my mind. it is a station simalar to KTU in new york.

WLVE (93.9) in Miami.

Yeah, when I was down in Fort Lauderdale for a month, all I did was listen to 93.9. I loved it. It was better than any other radio station. The best part was listening to it on the beach.

As for clubs, the majority of them are in Miami, unless someone knows otherwise.

Love southern Florida!

No, West Palm Beach is not too far from Miami, they pick up the same stations.
It's all part of South Florida. (For those that don't know, South FL is West Palm, Ft. Lauderdale, & Miami).

Depending traffic and how you drive, it only takes 40 min from WPB to South Beach Miami. And aside from the station Carlito mentioned, sometimes the Spanish stations (like Salsa 98.3 FM) will play lunch or weekend Freestyle mixes with a lot of the rare & classics.

Clubs, they vary. There are lots of them in WPB & Lauderdale. Usually the Latin clubs mix it up with Freestyle, or the Gay clubs when they have "Retro Nights".
Also, the Sandee' benefit in Miami on Sun, April 5TH is something u may not want to miss. Lots of performers, and DJ'd by Lewis Martinee' himself!
Hope that helps!🙂

I would appreciate if someone can get video footage of the entire Sandee benefit, preferablly on actual video and not the cell phone type.
