Wow! Gabbi! You had to mention Pretty Pretty, now that takes me back as the lead singer (Roxy) is my ex-girlfriend!

Hey what about - Mercy Mercy with Mira Me?

Remember that song?

Same producers as Pretty Pretty - Robert Greer of Bush Baby records!

Hey OldSkool, I remember all the Miami stuff, it's cool that someone knows the music I talk about and love...the obscure stuff. I used to spend a lot of time in Florida, east and west coasts; I also used to sing lead and do session work down there. So many people I knew, but have not talked to in years. PM me and let me know who else you know, that I may also know. Boy, I miss the 80's in Florida!

I basically know everyone in Miami that was involved in Freestyle/Music as I spent many years working as a booking agent/manager/record promoter in the magic city!

Well, whatever happened to...Maggie and Dinah from Rare Design, and Alina Blanco from Promise Circle, Angie from Sequel, I unfortunatly think Sasha died in a car accident(do you know if this is true), Victor Franco (writer), oh and Frances who did Surrender your love. I knew so many people, it now seems like a hundred years ago. If you have any info on any one I mentioned I would love to hear. Also do you know whats going on with Trinere, is she still with Tony? She is just so sweet.

Wow..talk about names I haven't heard in years!

Not sure what happend to any of those folks,I haven't kept up with to many of them as they have gone on,disappeared and unfortunately some have died like Eric Tillman (RIP) the lead singer for Erotic Exotic did a few years back.

I too heard Sasha was in a bad accident, not sure if that did her in.

From time to time I bump into Elsie of "Left Lane".

I do speak to Al of Erotic Exotic as well as Frank of Secret Society and Joe Granda who was Nice & Wild's manager, all are doing great!

R.I.P.
Eric Tillman
Mario Alayon (Mario promotions)
Artie Jacobs (Command Performances)

Worked with Victor , and did lots of session work. Whenever people say that so many Florida freestyle songs sound alike, I swear it was because I was involved.
I was down there between 87- 89, and I was introduced to session work after I sang
a song for the guy at Carjul records. The song I did not know the name of was Honey to a bee by Tina B, who would have thought. But it wasn't like a career, it was just for fun. I was really young, and modeling at the time (which paid much better), and thats how it goes. If you met me, you would remember me. I was, and still am, 5'9" and have always had long dark chestnut hair. Well back then it was way over highlighted, and looked almost copper. So did we ever meet?

Which guy at Carjul,Carlos or Julio?

Nope, can't say that I know you, need more info, like which trax's you worked on?

You worked with Victor or Ralph Franco?

Hey Old Skool,
Didn't mean to leave you hanging, but had to go to sleep. I also sent you a private messege with my email.
I believe the man at Carjul was Carlos, he was older, well at the time I was 16 and everyone seemed 'older". But the guy who gave me a number to call, I don't know if he worked there, was just hanging out and chatting with them. The first person I worked with, I am almost positive his name was Victor, but the name Ralph Franco sounds way too familiar to me. I knew a couple of families with the name of Franco up around Staten Island and Jersey, so after almost 18+ years theycould all be mixing together in me brain.
The trax I worked on, well can tell you the parts I knew from the chorus I sang, but most of the vinyl is either at my moms house in the cellar, or my friend who was a dj still has some. There really weren't too many but, ...you give me a good sensation..., ...never stop never stop loving you, a couple that actually had the same type of chorus...come back..., call the doctor emergency I need intensive care...,and a few others I sang the lead for, but I know the writers/producers girlfriend of the day were the ones who were credited, what can you do when your 16 with a fake id and 50.00- 100.00 makes good pocket change. I did lay down a couple of tracks that were going to be my own, but I don't believe they ever came out. The working title for one was "I'll make all your dreams come true", that was my favorite, it had a real catchy chorus also...I know just what you want, I know just what you need, I can be eveything to you; I'll satisfy your every want, I'll fulfill your every need, I will make all your dreams come true." I guess when it's your own completely, you don't forget it even after 16-18 years.
