the year is 1988 it is a song called "New York, New York" no not frank sinatra's.
it has laser sounds in the song and all the song says is new york new york. It is a dance song and only has the instrumental slow part of the original new york song by sinatra in the mix with all the laser sounds and dance music. any guesses? also looking for a song once heard it called "rigor mortis" is also a club dance song from similar year but an instrumental dance no words not even sure if this is the true name of song - but if it is does it ring a bell for anyone.

The "Rigor Mortis" by A Split Second is a rather slow song that does have lyrics. That's why I don't it's the one based on the description.

thanks again claybricks for your expertise freestyle brain. it was a split second "rigor mortis" . since you told me who sang them (also micro chip league) i was able to download them both from limewire. now i have just 2 more songs left to go.
