Dissapointing Artist

most of the new artists in the last seven years that i've heard haven't been too good!
with the exceptions of Jocelyn Enriquez, Rockell, & Collage's

hey there's alot more than that like Buffy, Angelina, Spanish Fly, Sharyn Maceren, Rosalinda, and more.

I wrote the question wrong. Let me re phrase the question: What Freestyle artist do you think was a bust, an artist in which the fans and promoters was hyping up as the next big freestyle artist, but did not live up to expectations? That was the question.

I think Adriana is a Freestyle bust. In 2000, there was so much hype and promotion about her first single. But after that, you don't hear nothing about her.

It seems like every new Freestyle artist is promoted as the next big thing and every one of them seems to fall short of that goal.

i see what you mean there. i don't know if i consider her a true bust though because after "Until Tomorrow" which had airplay in many cities, it wasn't like she put out more freestyle only to have it rejected by radio and the public, it's just that her label didn't put anything else out or something like that. i think she would have been huge, but i agree with you if you think its disappointing that you never heard anything more after she had the success she did with "Until Tomorrow". i would have loved to see more come from her.

I undoubtedly agree with Rhoq as he put it in the second post, most of the new stuff to come out in the last 7 years is not worthy. I mean c'mon can you honestly say that sh*t found on Luna records or artists like Miguel Reyes are good?

The thing about labels like Luna were they tried to capitalize on the popularity of Freestyle music. Their music was a joke and regardless, Hot Productions still released it. The last one (VOL. 4) that they released on their own actually had 1 or 2 good songs on it...Look at Tango & Boca Records...All of the songs on their compilations were the songs that were not good enough to featured on a Tazmania compilation. (I guess the same goes for AVP & GRW Records in comparison to Artistik)...

The thing about Miguel Reyes is that he was originally part of the group Full Afekt. Tazmania signed him as a solo artist and tried to recreate the Full Afekt sound...Miguel could have been great if his material had variety, instead all of his songs sounded the same.
