I filed awhile back .. just waiting for my $$ to pay for bills and use towards vacation this summer!
 
Good for you Latino, that's what I did last year. Now, I'm CC free!!! Yippee!

The only thing I do EVERY YEAR with my taxes before anything else is pay off my car insurance so I don't have to worry about that every month.

The rest went to my brother (borrowed like $1400) to move (pay for a moving company and some towards my apartments security deposit). Had nothing left.

Usually I get my Great Adventure season passes, but couldn't this year. Now I"m trying to save up because this year GA has a whole new section for families.

Yes that earned income credit is wonderful. I remember when I used to get it for 3 kids, now it's only 1 left, which is my 4th child since my other 3 are damn near adults.
 
I hear you. Buying your own place is $$$. I'm 10,000 in debt but most of it should be gone with the refund. By the end of the year it should be all paid off. So next year hopefully my refund would be all mine 😀.
