Yea the Ducks were strong yo!! PS Yea this is NHL Hockey at its best!!! Great job guys!! 😉 Nets are next, Continental arena truly is the arena of champions! Trueeeeeeeee!!!
OMG!!!!!!!!!! What a freakin game!!!!!!!!! Mike ya beat me to posting this, but that's cause I was having waaaaay too much fun last night celebrating!! Was at the game last night as I was for games 1,2 and 5. The Meadowlands exploded when the Devs got that first goal and it only grew as goals 2 and 3 were tacked on! Congrats to Broduer for getting the shut-out. Also, Broduer and many other Devils players acted very appropriatelty when Jiggy was named the Conn Smythe winner. Some fans started to be, but the players, especially Broduer started applauding. Good call on their part...shows respect and good sportmansship.
Had awesome seats last night, thanks to my cousin who works with the Devils organization...center ice, right behind the Devs bench. :dgrin Truly a happy night for Devils fans!!
NEW JERSEY DEVILS 2003 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!
So did the fans at Continental Airlines Arena! As soon as they went up 1-0, we knew that was it. But it's such a comfort when they add more than 1 goal. I am still hyped from last night! Looking forward to this years celebration party!! 🙂
As far as I know, probably. I know some cities rag on us for having it that way, like Matt Lauer did this morning on the "Today" show, but I don't give a rat's @ss what others say! The true fans come out and celebrate in the heat and parking nightmare, while the front runners are no where in sight. I had a blast in 1995, 2000 and plan on having a blast this year! Granted I get there nearly 12 hours before the actual event happens, but that gets me right up front! Plus its fun tailgating in the parking lot with other fans. 🙂
I'm not a Nets fan, but hey, if they can do it, then good luck to them. Right now just enjoying my Devils moment!! I alreadyam planningon going to the home opener this October to see the Stanley Cup championship banner raised!
I hope something can happen so the game can get repaired. I saw that arena was rocking. it's sad it does bad on TV.Hockey is a game,it just need twiking some.
Well even though I am a huge Devils fan, I have to agree with what most sports casters and writers say, there is no "big star" so to speak. I hate to admit it, but I know if the Rangers where in a Cup final, the ratings would have been higher. Granted, we don't have a Gretzky or Roy, but hell, we got Brodeur, Stevens, Daneyko, and that means more to Devils than any thing, cause to us, they are big stars. That's what makes the Devils so strong...it is truely a team effort, versus, "I'm a big star this is what we should do."
I agree meggy. Most stars now in The NHL are goalies. There needs to more big stars who scores. I also think they need to score more in these games, which might meaning to make the nets bigger.
