Boston- The City That Comes To Life After 2 a.m.-
What up, everyone? I think I just had my highlight of the week, and it was worth every 100 minutes of it.

I just sat through a performance of 'Def Poetry Jam' at the Colonial Theatre here in Boston, and talk about some positive, political, personal shit. It was off the hook. If you wanna see and hear some very talented individuals expressing themselves through spoken word and through expression, then I advise you to check this out when it comes to a city near you. No, it's not an all black cast. There was a Puerto Rican male and female from Brooklyn and Chicago, an Israeli chick from Brooklyn, an Asian male from Oklahoma, etc. and they were just throwing down about all types of shit from Tito Puente, to how life was back in the day, to self-respect, stereo-types and racism- it was refreshing. In between the sets the DJ was playing some tight beats, and even cranked some Salsa during one of the sets. It was nice to see all of my thoughts being expressed through all eight individuals.

Anyway, check it out. Feed your mind, body, and soul.

Awwwww glad you had a good time Carlos! 🙂

I'll have to check it out if it comes down here to New Orleans! 😀

Thanks, Krystal. They might be doing a national tour. I know they are in Boston for a week, but I don't know where they're headed after. My friend works for Ticketmaster so if I hear anything, I'll let you know. 🙂 Most definitely.

I know what you mean....I was hooked up with the tickets when they first started performing and it was quite enlightening and invigorating. I wouldn't mind seeing them perform live again.

I saw it here in New York City and it was awesome!!! Great performances by all the poets! 🙂
