Like I said, does Kobe's ordeal with these charges hurt The NBA's image? Then we are going to need another Magic and Bird to rescue the league like the 70's to pull it from it's days as a coke addict league. The NBA wanted to have a poster boy in the post Jordan era. They thought since Kobe was the do right person, he could be marketable. Even though he couldn't sell shoes because of his quote lack of Street cred.

I honestly believe he is innocent and it was consensual, and I fo sho believe it will not do much to his image his ball game has nothing to do with his personal game. Look at R-Kelly despite what is going on in his life he is still making songs and people are still buying them. If anything this will just bring more attention to him. He is just like any other man or woman he went outside his marriage, cant anybody sit and judge him, this happens to be a real f***ed up consequence but as i said I beleive this was consensual 😀
 
I can't beleive this people defending rapists and child molesters, if either of those two were joe avarage would anyone scream he's innocent? here's my take, I'm sure you all saw kobes press conference. so ask yourself this if you had a wife that looked like kobe bryants wife would you stray? I know I wouldn't.

EJABRAZO, I like you have no pity for rapists or pedophiles, if I was ruler of a nation I would have them all burning while thier bodies were spitted through wooden steaks the way Vlad the Impaler did, but alas this is not my world..lol, but I also happen to agree that most of these cases where you have the starts of NBA or any kind of other sports or anyone of fame for that matter, thier will be alot of women trying to see if they can have one night with them and then it turns out to be nothign like what they hadfantasized and thats when shit hits the fan. People tend to romantisize thier objects of affection, when in reality they are probably shitty lovers or into S & M or any other wierd shit that they won't do with thier wives so they do it to the groupies, unfortunately these women don't find out till it's too late and then it goes public and scandles arise...what people have to understand is that no matter what you make of yourself in life, wether you act, sing, play proffessional sports they are still human beings with human emotions and fautls. I don't personally like any sport except for baseball and even then I don't sit home on sundays and watch it, Idon't know Kobe Bryant personally so I can't judge him either way, but if he did it, then let him pay if he didn't do it, then she should pay for it.

on the comment about fidelity, it doesn't matter how good your wife looks or how good she can treat you home, it is in man nature to hunt, as it has been shown time and time again especially by these Players, actors, singers. WE might say we will never ever do that to our spouses, but then again we aren't making millions and having people throw themselves at us wantint to be wit us. so it's kind of hard to judge. but I hope justice is done either way.
 
My opinion on all this & that it was consentual sex between 2 adults.

This girl's friends have already said to the press that she is "star-struck" & that she likes working there because she meets lots of celebrities.

I think she is a money hungry bitch that f*cked him solely because of who he is & what she can get out of him.

Put it this way, Millionaire celebrity black Male has sex with Blonde Haired, Blue Eyed teen. So she has the "innocent barbie" look about her, but I think she is probably a gold-digging bitch.

I could be wrong, but that is what I feel.

I hope he is innocent. This is gonna be the only Kobe thread i'm posting. Any thoughts about this, lets fill this thread up. It's a sad situation.

Like I said, we think we know these people because of Sportscenter, Access Hollywood. The fact is we don't know these people. We don't know what Kobe is capable of doing outside The Staples center.
 
I just can not picture in my mind him raping someone.

With a wife at home & God knows how many groupies throwing themselves at him a day, I am sure it is pretty easy for him to get laid!

This is a perfect case of "He-said, She-said". I think it will be hard to prove that he is guilty unless she had signs of a physical injury. Unfortunately, he is human, and people make mistakes. If he did do this, he should pay, star or no star. The real tragedy here is for his wife and child. His wife just gave birth a few months ago. What should be a wonderful time in his life, is now tarnished, and he has himself to thank for it. As for the alleged victim, like I said, if Kobe forced himself on her (why did she go to his room, alone in the first place),she deserves justice, But also remember, while we might think not to highly of Kobe for commiting adultery, there are evil women out there, who look to make a quick buck by crying rape.

well the DA said today in the papers that he had to take two weeks to really weigh all the evidence before the indicment..and you know when the person or suspect.is famous they would be exceptionally careful before moving foward with charges....i like kobe.and i understand that ass must be thrown his way on the daily..again if i was making that kind of bank..i could imagine the temptation..what im surprised about is that the woman is not named.shes not a minor so why the secrecy of her identity?? and if kobes name is on every front page why dont we know anything about her? its almost as the press is saying shes such a victim and so innocent they wont even give details about her or her statements..that makes him look guilty before a trail..why are they protecting her?? and you know the press has no morals no sense of being kind to individuals rights... but i find it interesting that she remains a mystery..theres two sides to every story but we arent given all the details..she cant be that much of an angel!! we dont know if she was just forced into a room or if she went in voluntarily..and that makes a big difference in public perspective of what may have happened..theres too many questions left open.i believe if your going to make such serious accusations then full disclosure should be given to the public of who you are and your background.. we know alot about kobe but this woman remains in the shadows!! its almost as if saying you can condem a man in a heart beat..but a woman needs to be proven a whore before her name can be released..and dont take it wrong..she maybe a real innocent victim...but still all the details should be made public

I am NOT a big FAN of many sports, especially Baseball(NYASIA). I myself did have a brief moment of meeting Kobe in Korea in 1999. He did a Morale show for U.S. Troops. Kobes' Demeanor was nothing but impeccable and restraining. He had woman of ALL types throwing themselves at him and YES, I heard MANY of the WOMEN saying vulgar things to him and what they would do to him. I even heard one tell her girlfriends how she would "DO HIM" and then call "THE ENQUIRER" so she can "GET PAID"<unquote,while she laughed about it) Kobe signed autographs and took pics with many people, including the women that said the crazy things.

He didnt' say "I have had inappropriate relations with Monica<(replace this with the accusing womans' name) He fessed up, and didn't try to sugar coat the picture. HE ADMITTED HAVING SEX with the woman. The courts should decide on the evidence of "FORCED" sex or forced UPON sexual behavior. The WOMAN is 19. Clearly NOT a child. She will surface regardless of the verdict and it will be clear that she will be on every talk show known to the world. She WILL "GET PAID".

Taezee, it's been a generally held principal with district attorneys nationwide, whether the accused is famous or not to withhold the name of the victim. But I think that in a high profile case like this one you can understand why they are extra cautious. The sharks uhhh I mean reporters would love to rip her life apart piece by piece. The courts try the accused, but the media puts the victim on trial,and she's 19 from a small town in CO.probably not saavy enough to pull a hoax of this magnitude. As far as releasing the evidence, first the DA dosn't wan't to contaminate the jury pool, second he dosn't want to make this an even bigger media circus than it already is, third the DA does not have to make the evidence known to the defense until after a pre-tril hearing in which a judge decides if the evidence is suficcent to procede with trial. Meaning that it's a strategic move on the part of the Da to keep defense council guessing, and make them look like bufoons much like scott petersons attorneys look right now. Whoa, I think I watch to much law and order, or court tv.
