The final three Friends are coming now, which will end Friends for good. Everybody Loves Raymond is still on, but there are chances that may not survive. The thing is; due to Crime dramas like CSI, and Law And Order and Reality(Unscripted)TV and high cable TV viewership, has the Sitcom died?

Sienfield was the final frontier of Comedy. When Sienfeld went off, comedies died with it. Curb Your Enthusiham is great, it's a more in delph version of Sienfeld.

I never liked SEINFELD for the simple fact that he thinks he is "too big" to come down and accept an award from his old school (MASSAPEQUA HIGH SCHOOL). so, the award goes to the BALDWIN BROTHERS every year!

Actually since the rise of reality shows weeks go by that I don't turn on the tv

The problem is; Sienfield has set the bar real high for Sitcoms. It has put pressure on Friends and fraiser. Many Gen Xers(like me) who left college around the time Sienfeld went off, felt too old to watch WB, many shows like friends did not live up to expectations. What happened was many of those viewrs went to cable to watch shows like; The Sopranos and Queer as Folk. Shows that was allowed more freedom. The Networks was getting left behind and needed to rebound. They knew thay could not go head to head with cable, so the networks turned to MTV and Europe for inspiration which was Reality Shows.

It all goes around. The Cosby Show was responsible for the revivial of the sitcom after it had died out in the early 80's. Someone will come out with something good soon. Reality tv will fizzle out soon and there will be a empty space to fill when it happens. :dancingb
