The Daytime Emmy Nominations were announced this morning and Im happy to say that my fave show General Hospital got many nominations!!! For all theother fans here is who got nominated from GH:

Outstanding Lead Actor:
Maurice Benard (Sonny) GO MAURICE!!!
Tony Geary (Luke)

Outstanding Lead Actress:
Tamara Braun (Carly) GO TAMARA!!
Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis)

Outstanding Supporting Actor:
Ric Hearst (Ric)

Outstanding Younger Actor:
Scott Clifton (Dillon)
Chad Brannon (Zander)

Outstanding Younger Actress:
Alicia Leigh Wllis (Courtney)

GH was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Writing as well! Go GH!!

Hey what about Guiding Light & Young & the Restless and Days??? 🙁
 
The only major nomination that Days got was for James Reynolds (Ex-Abe Carver) in the Supporting Actor category. I watch Days too and would have liked to see a few more people get nominated.

Y&R got nominations too...I know for sure that Eric Braedon (Victor) got nominated...a few others too. I think people from Guiding Light were nominated as well.

and why would they nominate abe, he doesnt have much of a story line

i mean there are so many others...like sammy (i love her), marlena, john etc etc
 
Each show gets to pre-nominate 2 people from each show, Then the acdemy gets to see about 2 clips of each performer's work and chooses who will get the actual nomination. I guess whatever work Abe from Days submitted was good enough to get him a nomination. I know Sami was on the pre-nomination list but she didnt get nominated. I would have liked to see Bo or Roman get a nomination. I think Passions get nominations in some technical categories.

And Rookie...I love Maurice! Even though he won last yr, I want to see him win again this yr!!

I attended the Daytime Emmys in 1998...it was a lot of fun!
