danced with the devil long as i can remember
since the day i was born the last day before september
and in that time ive only recently realized
the temptation the darkness the truth disquised by lies

and now more then ever im afraid to change pace
the music is diffrent im in a diffrent place
but theres a different rythym that now moves in my soul
no longer lead.. im in control

I am trully thankful for all that i have now
complainer by nature i still allow
sometimes the lyrics of the devil beneath my skin
grabbing me to tango sayin ill never win

but as i look to the heavens
the symphony of lights and clouds
the feeling as im lifted from the black satin shrouds
i am free as i dance and i turn in the wind

broken wings that were mended
sunshower cleansing times i had sinned

that dance is over let the new one begin
with a single note that pierces the shattered sky
from one golden violin
