This album I beleive was a lil' ahead of it's time.
Here's the track listing:

1. LIL SUZY- "runaway"
2. NADINE RENEE - "come to me"
3. SAM SAVON - "free"
4. BRENDA K. STARR - "only love"
5. LATIN RASCALS - "arabian nights 2000"
6. JUDY TORRES - "my life with you"
7. TINA ELISE - "i feel love"
8. CORINA - "costant craving (i need u)"
9. JOEY KIDD - "one & only"
10.SAM SAVON & JUDY TORRES - "reach out to love"
11. STATICK - "static"

The album was a project by Albert Cabrera, & was released in 1997.
I went through HELL to get it, & that was in 1998, when it was still kinda new.
Not sure, but it may be hard to find today.

Its a very Future-Electro/ House/ Freestyle-Breaks/ Booty/ Electroclashy type of album.
I originally got it for Brenda K's song, (which is my fav), but some of the other songs are kool as well. Something u would hear today. (Like I said, "ahead of it's time", for 1997).
Anyone else hear or have this album?
🙂

That album is great. Def ahead of it's time.
Its a good find if you can find it 🙂

I Got The Tape When It Came Out And The Title Was "trip Hop Dance 2000" Now On The Cd Its Dance Trip 2000

I got it in the Spring of 1997.

I used to rock the shit out of that album.

I definitely played it back and forth from the clubs.

I can't pick just one track 'cus I'm feelin' all but 11, 9, & 5.

"Free" is the shit, tho. Love Nadine Renee. Brenda's my baby.

I posted something about this CD a while ago.

Check the archives.

XTC...I HOPE YOUR READY FOR YOUR DEBUT show atthe taishan ball.......its already being promoted.

if i would of known you were looking for that, i would of givin you one a long time ago. I wrote about it at you know where,, It was distributed by intersound.....who at the time was really open to work with freestyle artist crossing over to breaks of that time:trip hop.
There is another compilation but the miami version called TOTAL RITMO, produced by lewis and released around the same time and has material from tony morino, sequel, douby, nyasia, nadine renee and others.
It also was distributed by intersound.

many people atthat time didnt support these or were not as open to these compilations. they still felt comfortable with the material coming from prime time, artistic and other labels who stayed with the typical freestyle sound. many from the freestyle scene didnt considerthem "freestyle" despite that even freestyle artist were trying to tap on and update themselves afterthe Miami wave of mid 90's elecro freestyle records from, planet soul, dj boom etc..who new york didnt consider freestyle.

new york having a stronger influence overthe market and media, the suport wasnt shown and the labels with the money and distribution backed off from future projects.

today...as freestyle/breaks artist..the sound is still on current radio and we as a scene are still around.
as for many of the labels like prime time.well, they arent here.

I thought this Compilation was ok. I thought some of the songs were kind of boring.
