Troy Guy, Eric "G" Gorder, and Cruzita (collectively known as In Effect) initially did "Forever Amor" on an unreleased green label back in the late eighties. I believe Tim Schommer did some work on that project. The version which came out on Atlantic Records featured Troy and Andrea Salazar. Eric kept the In Effect name and released a tune with Chicago artist Armante entitled "Here I go Again". Tim worked on that cut as well. Troy got married, Eric works for the Chicago Board of Education, Cruzita is a cop, and Armante is going to law school. My radio show is almost over, I've got to go...forever freestyle...Harv Roman!
I heard the there was a release of FOREVER AMOR and there was only one male vocals and no females on the background. Does anybody know about this release??
D'zyre was dropped by Atlantic back in '91. Troy Guy, I was told, was very arrogant which was the main reason for this. Their song Forever Amor was released on DJ International and then picked up by Atlantic, then they were dropped. What a shame!
