Me thinks Cynthia needs a security force at her office. For a while she worked at Bloomingdales. Good catch on the Mic Mac connection. Most artists at the old label needed "real" jobs. Just ask Johnny O, Tonasia, Cynthia, Charlie Babie...

I love cynthia..she is my freestyle goddes...if she works on 56th street im kicking myself in the ass cus until recently i worked on 57th....i though i saw her about 3 weeks ago in starbux in edgewater but i wasnt sure and didnt want to look like a fool so i kept my mouth shut and regretted not asking her so i can at least tell her what a great artist she is and that i can not wait to hear and buy her next album!!! love ya cynthia!!!!

The strangest thing happened to me not too long ago, and I'm sure Cynthia will read this sometime in the future.

I used to e-mail Cynthia every now and then about a couple of years ago.

We hadn't e-mailed eachother for a while and one day, I decided to e-mail her out of the blue.

She must've had me confused with "another" person because she e-mailed me as if we knew eachother from years ago, and spoke about things that I had no idea about, and she gave me her direct work number and everything, and I'm thinking to myself, "is she serious"? It caught me off guard.

Anyhow, I responded to the e-mail saying that I am that certain someone you met in Boston, etc. etc. etc. and that I think you have me confused with someone else.

Guess what? I never heard from Cynthia again.

Not once did I try to stop by her job and call her at work 'cus I'm not one to do that kinda shit, and I find it somewhat immature. But, it left a bad taste in my mouth because I informed her of the mix-up and she didn't have the decency to aknowledge me, as the person she met, nor aknowledge the e-mail.

I was somewhat taken by surprise by that.
 
Cynthia right now is very busy with work, new baby and traveling to perform for her fans... I'm sure she will get back to you soon... I know she is very loyal to fans and would not let them down...she is a true artist from the heart...

This happened in 2001. I don't expect an e-mail. And that's fine. I was just putting it out there since my experience tied in with what was being discussed. Whether she's loyal and true to her fans isn't an issue, because I know she is both loyal and true. However, it just opened my eyes a little more as to the way I view certain artist's today.

Carlito, you may know that you're not the stalking type, but she has no way of knowing that. For all she knows, you could be some obsessed fan who now has her personal info.

I can understand why she would be cautious. I don't think it was anything personal against you.
 
Well, rest asure that I'm not that person. I really didn't have the time back then to worry about some artists personal life, nor do I have the time now. At 23 years old, it was cute.

Plus, I wasn't looking for any sympathy. I could care less at this point.
 
Us fans are Blessed to have Cynthia. She is so Real and Talented.
I wish the best for her and her family!
 
I got to meet Cynthia a couple yrs back when she performed up here in Toronto (this is one of the main highlights of my life lol) and yeah it's amazing she was always my fave cuz I thought she was an amazing singer...but she is now my fave cuz she's an amazing singer, performer and person 🙂
 
I saw her a couple of weeks ago perform here in Chicago and all I can say is wow…what a great voice and talent OMG

wow this is an ancient thread i did so long ago.. i wonder who dug it up but props to whoever did it.
and ya silentmorning i hope cynthia is reading this and appreciating the mild obsessions of some of the members here :blah
