I got some news for everyone. I know Im not really supposed to post this up but you know me and my reputation....I cant keep anything this good to myself. I spent some time with a friend recently and he let me listen to some tracks. At first I thought to myself "I heard these already from Kayel personally" but my friend assured me that I had not. So I decided to take him up on his offer.
Let me tell everyone that what I had heard will simply blow your mind! The tracks were amazing, unlike anything I ever heard before. Heres the run down while its still fresh in my head:
1. "spiders"......its a freestyle song with a heavy love theme and it seems that this one was my favorite amongst them all.
2. the second one was very "louder than lovish". Theres a, operish female vocal in the background that sounds reminiscent to Judy Torres.
3. the 3rd one was a duet with a female that sounded like Betty D of Sweet Sensation. from the sounds of it, it almost seems as if Kay had been hanging out with Frankie Cutlass and Joey Gardner again.
4. the 4th one was a rap by Kayel and had a freestyle hook to it.....sorta "K7".
5. the fifth was kind of dark. it was the angriest one of them all. It was about a love that was once lost. I could feel the pain and hate through his voice and the vocals.....WOW! Lets just say its very "euro".
6. the 6th one will get people moving. Its very poppish. its freestyle. if I would compare it to something I would compare it to Timberland vs. Noel. Kind of like the One Republic jam.
The concept album album starts and finishes with the death of the character, Kayel.
Kay, I know you are going to be pissed but you havent called me in a while and I just couldnt contain myself with this news. I had to leak it out to the freestyle fans.........
Kay, out of all the stuff you had played for me in the past, why havent you let me hear thus? Why did I have to get it from and outside source? anyway, congrats.....I know this stuff will be slammin!
If this is what Kay meant by "destroy and rebuild" a few years ago, I am now a believer.
