You are 100% right - that is what I said in my earlier post - that kid was hired as the "face" of Collage to lip synch the tracks in clubs until Adam Marano decided to take credit for his own voice...I think the kid's name was Anthony....

he has this song from chapter 2 that i love "when i see you". Oh my god!!! How i love that song!!!!!! but question whats the story on his sister Stephanie Marano. I like her song "symphony of love".
 
his name is anthony monteleone aka "nino", during the collage days he also went by the name of anthony maldonado. to my knowledge the main reason why the whole alias thing or body double thing happened was because adam marano was sill under contract with micmac records and thats why he got nino to be the front man of collage, i guess so he wouldnt have to worry about legal matters(getting sued) and as coincedence would have it they really did have very similar vocal styles. i gotta say adam sure knew the angles....

from what I understand, Adam did all the vocals not Anthony - he was just hired to lip synch the vocals, probably because of that contractual thing you mentioned...I am not sure Anthony ever really sang a note on the "Chapter One" album....I could be wrong, but that was my understanding....with your explanation of the MicMac thing it makes more sense...one thing I DO know for a fact - when Anthony would tour as "Collage", Adam was often right there with him and I heard reports from other freestylers on the tour that Adam treated him like dirt to the point that he had the poor kid rinsing out his (Adams) underwear in the hotel sink LOL
 
i didnt say anthony did the vocals bro, you misunderstood me, adam did most of the vocals, anthony did do some of the vocals though, on chapter 1 like on the track here we go again. but even though adam did most of the vocals they both still had similar vocal styles. on most of the tracks he did mostly back up vocals with a couple of solos if anything.....
btw , i didnt know that adam treated anthony(nino) like shit as you mentioned.
 
I like his stuff.

But his music got too repetitive and un-original after the first few tracks following "Ill Be Loving You".

How many times can you use the line "all my dreams are dreams of you" and similar phrases without it getting old and stale?
 
oh man, i LOVE Collage's music. and Denine's music also.

maybe not as classic as Cynthia & Johnny O's Dreamboy / Dreamgirl but i still love it.


oh yeah, and I absolutely love Collage's first 'Angel' song, the one on the Chapter One album. I like the newer Angel song also but the first one is my favorite Collage song.

I never actually bought a C.D. from Collage or Adam Marano but I have several of his songs on comps. He has a few hits i'd say one or two from every album but I recently purchased a freestyle C.D. from the YZX company in Germany; his stuff there was horrible. Almost the entire C.D. which had like 28 tracks was unlistenable. Only Johnny O saved this C.D. I had especially bought it for the Song Back for My love from Paradigm and was treated to one minute 17 seconds of only the beginning of the song without one note of vocals. I was so pissed. I think it's called Freestyle Highlights or something. It says "As seen on T.V." I know that's not on T.V. So anyways, I noticed his voice as "Streetsyler and MR. Bass on several tracks like "American guy in Germany". It stunk. He's ruining his rep and that company seems to me like they really suck.
 
I think adam needs to take the initiative and develop a new artist.a young, hot funky artist ..thes othersingers are old news...no offense, i mean i love 'em just as much as you guys do, but we need more new artists to keep freestyle alive.
