Nice top 25 CPR

There wasn't a bigger Freestyle song in 2008 that Sammy Zone's "Without You".
Congratulations are also in order to Carlos After Dark Berrios who single handedly gave us 75% of all of the great tracks of this year.

Carlos definetely should be the Producer of the Year.

With all due respect Jose, since you did take a lot of time and effort to create that list, with the exception of "Don't Stop Believin" (which I don't consider freestyle albeit George Lamond sang it ) and "Hell No", I haven't heard of ANY of the other tracks! I didn't even know Lissette Melendez had something NEW! 🙁

Does it make me less of a fan for seeing that? No. It just gets back to my argument regarding this music and specifically how New York radio ('KTU AND Pulse 87.....at least DJ Impact does something NEW on Party 105) has really embedded the classics to the mindset of people here. To which, how can anything new happen if people can't (or refuse) to let go of what was big back in the late 80's or early 90's. And how does that help the next generation???

As it is, the average age of the original freestyle crowd ranges from the late 30's to the early 50's. We're all getting older! Teenagers consider freestyle "their parents music". How could they know about the list if they aren't exposed to it?? I don't even know it and I am of the age! 20 years from now, we'll end up like the folks going to the disco concerts! And if you think that's far down the road, if you can remember New Years Day 1989, that's 20 years AGO!

I feel so beleaguered in here when I keep trying to want to push things in order to advance the future of dance music as a whole (young AND old) yet certain things hinder the process.

It really is a shame that I haven't heard 23 of the 25 tracks listed. Pulse 87 COULD have given one or two of these new tracks a shot, but they haven't...instead staying at the older stuff to the point of oversaturation.....AGAIN! 😕

I had to say it. I'm not expecting anyone to "get it". These are just my random thoughts being thrown out there to, at the very least, get people to think for a second.

Jose, thank you for the list! 🙂

The great thing about New England is that we have 6 hours of Freestyle every week.
This has been the norm for the last 25 years thanks to Club House Dance Music.

We also have an additional 6 hours at our sister station as well.

12 hours of Freestyle where new music is programmed and welcomed
(as long as its quality Freestyle!)

You can always log on to www.wtccfm.org and www.wrtcfm.com

Lisette Melendez was also brave enough to perform "Don't Ever Say" live here in Springfield MA and the fans have been requesting the song ever since.

You can say the same about most of the Artists on the top 25 of 2008.

If you really want to help the artist tell us the fans where to purchase the music I know most of the carlos berrios can be purchased on i tunes but what about the rest of the music, list it like this
1.sammy zone without u(i tunes)
2.willie valentin ive been wainting(i tunes and amazon)
thank u and god bless

We at Club House always let you know where you can purchase the music.
The only obstacle is getting fans to dig deep into their pockets to purchase without wanting that ever popular hook up.

One question Jose, do you go to the IBS (Intercollegiate Broadcasting System) conventions in New York City?

I'm TRYING to convince the organizers to open up a forum discussion regarding dance music, when commercial can be non-commercial. I'm trying to moderate a forum like this and would love to have you as a panelist.

As soon as I know more, I'll let you know.

I can say that I have never attended but would be there in two shakes of a feather if it involved the progression of our music.

"Hook Up"...what's that... never heard of things like that.😀😀😀

Many many people need to hook up to their own rectums...these types are either B.S.'ers, crooks, jerkoff douchebags or simple MOFO's.

I have no time for that nonsense...if people were REAL, there will be no market for hook ups.

Are you serious???? Do you read any of the threads on here or do you just post Pulse informationals?

I do read threads. I also listen to music. Regarding Pulse, let's just say I'm slowing down on that. However, Pulse is the dance station in New York and they COULD have given at least two of these tracks a shot. 'KTU certainly won't.

But let's get back to Jose's list and no, I haven't heard 95% of these tracks! If you guys want "freestyle" to progress on, then somehow pushes should have been made. And right there is the problem since the majority of folks are stuck on 80's/90's freestyle. How is the music going to progress...or dare I say "come back" if everyone is stuck on the Hot 103/97 mentality, according to what radio thinks you all like.

But I digress. I'm taking on a new path with things and we'll just see where it all goes. If it benefits everyone, then mission accomplished!

You have to condition your audience to have an open mind (ear) for new Freestyle.
When doing a radio show one has to have special segments that focus on the promotion of the New (Quality) Freestyle.

This is what we have done here in New England.
But we still have a long way to go.
There are no stores were they can purchase these songs and many of my listeners don't own computers, i pods and fall under a technology gap.

It takes a long while before they really get into these songs. Once they do though.
They are all up for it.

the only time I would ask for a hook up is when im deployed and my time is diverted to other more important matters than searching for the music but ill tell you this ive spent so much of my life looking for this music im just tired of spending so much time on searching for that perfect beat

It takes a long time cuz most of the songs you're pushin ain't that good.

Rrrright!

Because Kid Heartbreak's "Thoughts of Her" was such a gem.

Tom Cruise heard your song and went on Anti Depresants.

That song is so bad people rather listen to Billy Crayone's Greatest Hits. (And that's a blank cd!)

You are such a horrid singer, William Hung can't give you singing lessons.

Your mix tapes are so bad Terrorist are using them now in place of using bombs.

Thank you. Ill be here all week. Don't forget to tip Kenny Guido!

Hey, Kid.
When grown ups are talking you sit there like a Good Little Freestyle Boy and let us speak ok.

It isn't nice to interrupt the good threads.

Now go back and play with your bong and make up some more fake Freestyle top 25s with Reggaeton in it.

You attention seeking whore basket.
It isn't bad enough that you are all up in my area at FFM, but now you want to start here as well.

Have a little dignity and quit while you're behind.

The songs pushed on our show:

25. Joey Kidd – See You In My Heart
24. Joe Zangie featuring Wendy – When I Want You Back
23. Jessica Fabus – Obviously
22. Joei Mae – Do You Want It Right Now

Hah!!!

Jose, thanks for all you've done. As I said before, WTCC got me into this "New School" sound back in 1993/1994!! I probably wouldn't be here without you, The Juice, and The Legend.

Some of them are good songs. I had a lot of them on my charts as well. In all honesty, I never listened to your show so I don't really know what y'all be pushin'. Y'all do have a very "small time, bush league" stigma surrounding yous and that's probably what the problem is. The only place the people are hearing SOME OF THE NEW STUFF is your degenerate radio show. That probably hurts more than helps as it makes the music look bad.

Do you see how stupid you write Kid?
The contradictions continue.

I guess the sun in Chicago combined with that aluminum foil jacket you're wearing in your picture really got you tweaking.

You don't listen to my radio show, but its "bush leagues".

We'll I've listened to your mix cds and let me tell you. TALK ABOUT "BUSH LEAGUES".

You are so self serving that you insist on singing in them.
Thats really tacky.

No to add the constant beat collisions that sound like AK47 gunshots.
Do you know about beats per minute and how to blend?

If a songs skips in the middle of the mix, that doesn't constitute a transition.
(Tracks 22-25 on Bronx Tale) It means that it just frackin' skipped. And you still pressed it anyways. Talk about being a degenerate. You robbed the people who bought you coaster worthy mix.

But what can we expect from the ol' HACK-O-RAMA!

You and your fake list. The one that came after I posted my Top 25.
The one that you expanded from 10 to 20 to 25, like you was still back in middle school, daydreaming on one day being Tim Spinnin Schommer.

Wake up kid!

The show in the bush leagues "broke" your song.
But you are more than welcomed to come in live, so we can joke on you some more.
