Another edition of Childhood radio. Taking you back to the time Top 40 radio was actually worth listening too.LOL.

Today it's Janet...Ms Jackson if your nasty!!!!!!!!!

This is Janet way before Boobgate!!

I'm gonna be playing her best stuff off her three big selling albums;

Control

Rhythm Nation 1814

Janet

Those were the albums that seperated her from her Brother's success.

My 5 songs today are these:

When I think of You

Nasty

Miss You Much

Lets Wait Awhile

That's The Way Love Goes.

:jiggy :listen :dj

What's childhood radio? Damn, I can't believe I missed my Janet. & Mike, how could u forget the "Pleasure Principle"?

My favorite JJ jointz:
5. On & On
4. All For You
3. When I Think Of You
2. Pleasure Principle
1. Making Love In The Rain

My favorite of hers are two singles that weren't paid much attention. They're slow songs.

"Where Are You Now"
"Come Back To Me"

"If" is another song that I like because of it's originality. It remains a dance single while using other sounds never hardly used in dance at that time. Coincidentally, it was a hit because of every single enjoying element that song had. Really hype stuff!

Good ones!!!!!!!

Mark. Childhood radio is what Do at work where I play 3-5 songs from a artist that big during my childhood. The range is 1985-1996 that was the time when I was in 3rd grade to HS Graduation.

To be precise, it was New Jack/Pop/R&B all in one.

To mainstream it was simply "R&B".

I can see why you would say it's freestyle. 😉

Nothing against songs off The Velvep Rope. But those three albums defined Janets carrer.

The velvet rope is a deep album. If you listen to the lyrics to most of the songs in that album, you'll find the lyrics worth meaning. I don't praise one better than the other. Each album has something unique and appealing about it.
