I had custody of my daughter for over a year and I am still trying to get child support that makes sense. Right now I get $25.00/wk, that's nothing! So, I've been calling the support services and they keep giving me the run around, telling me that I have to fill out papers, then there's a fee, but I can file a fee waiver(which never gets approved). When I call the office they say that they never received my info, then transfer me to someone who doesn't know why they transfered me and want to transfer me back. Yeah! I'm confused too!
Now, my point is this, when my ex had custody, they hit me up so quick and hard that I had to file bankruptcy to clear my bills. This system is designed to help and or work for the women. At least in CT! I'm about to give up on trying to get better child support. The $25 that I get a week goes right in to an account that I have set up for my daughter, so it's not like I'm spending it on me. I JUST WANT WHATS FAIR! And I want her to PAY! :barf

That isnt always true Pa. Sorry U are going through this... But in this case I am married to someone who makes over 100,000 a year and I still cant get support...Stay on top of them, She should help support her daugther! CHild support is a pain in the @ss! I am so learning that now!
 
Well, the more money you make, the easier it is to put up a fight. The fact that my ex plays victim and is a women(in my opinion) plays a big role. Here is a good example, when I called child support the lady on the phone automatically thought that I had to pay my ex. You see, with out even asking or looking at her computer, she asumed that I had to pay. I think it was because a man called.

I live in NY and my ex lives in FL they won't even process the paperwork because!!!! he's outta state- I'm goin to court for nothing there's nothing they're doing to even try althought I gave them all his info- he sends paperwork back that he doesn't live there but He does cuz I was there myself!!!

shit my father never paid a dime of child support.
my mom tried and tried, till when i turned 17 i told her stop tring cuz i don't want his money.
so i signed a paper saying that and he got away with never paying shit..
 
i dont believe in child support ..if i was to ever break up wit my baby's daddy and he didnt wanna help us out..then f*ck him i dont need him.
 
Damn! I thought I was the only one going crazy over this. I guess because it was so easy for her to get it out of me, I thought it was a two way street. I could say F@#! it, but she keeps trying to get Fuc me over, so at least my daughter will have some good money by the time she's 18. Thanks for your input!

You're absolutely right the system is designed to accommodate the women, I live in P.A and pay the sum of $750.00 monthly for my daughter. The courts wont even go back to verify if the woman is truly working, I wouldn't mind if my daughter where to see the money and get what she needed but, She's constantly calling me to get stuff she needs and when I asked the mother what happen to the money I send, she tell me she had things to do. So I end up spending more money. When I went to the courts they pretty much told me that's my tough luck.

That's not right, if you have custody of the child then you should be entitle to some type of support. As for me, thank god that me and my ex husband didnt go the court route. We sat down and figurre out what was fair and after 4 years we have never had a problem with support, visitation or vacation time. We thought it was better this way.

Ted I feel for you. When I had to pay, it was $120.00/wk and I know it wasn't going to my baby because she would dress her in bummy clothes and my daughter was losing weight. That shit gets me tight! They hit me up for support before I even got divorced. Now that I want what is fair, I can't even get them to look into it. I'm tired of going to court and it's too bad that my baby's mama can't grow up.

You need to process it with Florida.

As for NY not processessing it, you are doing something wrong. They will process out of state Child Support.
 
Angel, I've given them alllllllllll the info they need.. all the correspondence coems back like he doesn't live ther but i've been there my self. and hung out @ his house....
I've gone to court and they expected him to show up from Fl. and even call in- he's not gonna so they dropped the case. not me.

I got tired of dealin w/ that crap
 
I ONLY GET $212.00 EVERY 2 WEEKS, AND MY BABY DADDY IS COMPLAING CAUSE HE HAS 3 OTHER CHILDREN TO SUPPORT.... TOO PHUKIN BAD! THATS NOT MY FAULT. AND HE HAS ONLY BEEN PAYING FOR 1 YEAR. MY SON IS 8 YEARS OLD! GET THAT SHIT! :bangbang
 
Oh my god! It seems like too many babys, which are a blessing, with so many problems. My sister is in the same boat but her situation to me is fuked up! Her man is married, lives with his wife and their kids, has a few more with other women who he also supports. Yet all she gets a month and that's sometimes, is only $80 bucks while she spends over $500.00 a month on this child. Damn makes you think twice about having kids with just anyone.

Well best of luck with everyones situation, man, life sucks!
 
One thing that I never understood and that is............

Why don't you people ever think while in a relationship??? Why do you have to wait until a kid is born in order to think? Why ignore what your parents told you?? I'm serious.........so many single parent's out there.......and it's not even funny!!! Shame on all of you. That's how kids grow up all screwed up. Wait. Actually wait to have kids and really get to know your man or girl. Don't be stupid!


If you guys think and be more wiser, none of these things like child support issues or any of that bullshit would happen.

aight........cuz for allll the struggle we go thru on a daily basis I certainly would NOT LIKE a single person w/o kids tell me wtf to do as far as child support is concerned.
