MAN is my face red....well i read this interview with tony from tka the other day saying how everyone needs to buy the album in the first week to get them on billboard...so since then its been haunting me to do just that...this morning after my presentation at work...i went out and got the album...i had a great talk about it and tka with the guy in the store...he highlighted some songs for me that were good and he was excited...so i poped it in my car and i have to say its pretty good...I AM NOT GOING TO SAY IT IS STRAIGHT UP FREESTYLE, but it has a freestyle feel to it...man you guys fooled me...i thought it was going to be just the sound from feel the music (which i still hate)...but it wasnt....and as kayel said in that post he didnt even want to do that song...which was obvious cause like i said when i first heard it the vocals sounded force....so anyway...the hater is telling u this album isnt bad...i could see me listening to a good majority of it!!!!!! even though it isnt all freestyle i feel that if we support them it could only do good for our music...IT HAS GOOD dance SONGS ON IT, so it in no way makes our music look bad...so i want to do my part in helping put out the word...i thought it would give some credit since i am the official hater...but for real i told u guys once i heard the album i would give my final judgement...and its truthful!!!! i mean we did wait a long time for it, i am just happy that everything is good and a quality album was made in the time we waited....hey and u guys better appreciate it...i really feel like i have my tail between my legs, as they say 😱

Well I was going to start a new thread, but replying here will do just fine...

I bought the new TKA album today. 13 tracks in all and I have to ask myself was spending $13.00 of my hard earned money worth only 1 (possibly 2) Freestyle songs - My answer...NO!!!!!

So after over a year of hype, speculation and disappointment - one of the many things we have heard from the TKA camp was that this album was made to re-establish the group and there will be another album to follow sometime in 2002 that will be strictly for TKA's hardcore Freestyle fans - unless plans have changed, I would like to see them stick to their word!

That is all I have to say, I had already prepared myself for disappointment but at least the inclusion of "IN A MANNER" and "SEXUAL FANTASY" helped to soften the blow...

After sales tax it was $13.00

So the CD was really $12.15, LMAO

$13.00 is more than I am used to paying - All my Pat's Music regulars know that Bobby usually hooks us up at $12.00...

The only time you should expect to pay more than that is when you buy from a chain store (Tower, HMV, Sam Goody, FYE, etc) - all they do is rip people off...
 
i never paid 13 dollars for a cd in my life!!!!

man...i paid 19 for johny 9 in a no name store...and 18 for tka today in a diffrent no name store

Rhoq, i'm sorry to hear the cd wasn't what you expected. I was almost positive you would dig it the way you started accepting the group for their music. Anyway, I hope I enjoy it as much as Toni here has though. I should be the last person on this site to hear it. lol. (Grrrrr Ty)
