and you know how long I been saying how this industry don't pay my bills?..LOLOL that is another reason I won't sell this career to new comers, right now there is no market for it, hasn't been for a while, only struggles lay ahead, for both old and new.

Same here. I am a musician although if you really wanted to go digging you could find a few of me singing 😉 At any rate, I have always had a day job but music has always and always will be my first love. At one point in my life I was doing music solely but you do hit those burn out periods. Yeah it was fun while it lasted and I made some money but I just got to the point of it being where at work I would think about going home and writin' a track an then it was like I'd be workin on music and then I'd catch myself daydreamin about hacking and how I could build the next super network and such. I had the chance to sign to a label but I had my daughter and had to pass it up. Family will always come first 🙂 Considering my only goal back when was to have one song played on the radio I could say I am happy where I am.

I would never have trusted my ex manager as blindly as I did, and I would have had more input on my songs. I wouldn't have travel as much as I did, would have invested my money more wisely.
 
Wow, this really is a special place (yes, I'm gonna get all mushy here). It's not just where the fans go to meet and talk and get to know each other, we have "artists" here and they actually talk to us and also break it down for us.

I, for one, (and I know I'm not alone on this one) am so grateful for your music. It doesn't pay the bills, but you keep doing it because of the love you have for it.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your music.

These are things we as young lations do when we get a lil bit of money..what we do??? we go shopping for everything but the kitchen sink..... And we dont invest in anything... i made that mistake once, but im glad im getting another chance at it.....i thank you for opening it up to us and letting us know your business....it's not easy..... you made thousands if not millions NYASIA, and it's called your fansfreestyle.. so i thank you once again, for making ur mark in this music......

I'm glad that we can be so honest and let everyone know how we feel. People often ask me why I wasn't out there when things were jumping. I took one look at some of those contracts that were given to alot of these incredible artists and thought... I'M NOT SIGNING THIS LOL. HELL NO!!! I'd rather get my royalties and the hell with the stars. If it comes to me then great but if it doesn't... I know I can rely on my royalies to make me proud of what I've accomplished. I could never lie to an upcoming artist about the real music business. I often give warnings and let peps know that all those pats on the backs usually lead to bankruptcy. So be careful. If you love music and love performing then you came to the right place. But, if you're looking to get to the top in a hurry... Then do what a lot of innocent artists do... SIGN ON THE DOTTED LINE WITHOUT A LAWER!!! And make lots of money for someone else. I'm proud of what I've done and been. I did Artie & Friends to document my place in the dance world, not to make the top ten and if it did, then cool. The most successful thing in my life is to perform in front of one or two people and make some one smile and hope that they would tell two friens and so one... That is the reason I have an incredible respect for my brother and partner Legit. We both performed in many of the same places and were getting paid some great money But the joy of doing what we love is so great that that alone is an achievment that sooths the heart and make you want to keep on going. Who knows, may-be one day I will see one of my fellow artists at the grammies or be there myself but the feeling would be one of great pride in knowing that we've shared the stage. And in keeping with my heart love for entertainment... I have come to host a great show that gives alot of artists the chance to find themselves and improve on what they're gonna be. The Diamante Show. For alot of you artists out there that are just starting out or just need to keep in touch with your public, this is a great venue. You can get info about the show at WWW.Diamante.net. We tape once a month and you are seen three times a day in all of New York and it's free. There are no US AND THEM in this show... there are only future stars and legends. That's the way I like it. No one's better than anyone else. Just love and respect.
