Bye Bye Capital Centre/USAir Arena

This morning I headed over to Landover Md. to see the old Cap Centre get blown up!!!! Good bye and Good riddance!! Thanks for all those bad memories of The(then)Bullets starting to suck in 1989. The Capitals making the playoffs and always getting eliminated in the first round by those damn Pengiuns!! The building was in a ditch. There was nowhere nearby to get something to eat. And parking was god awful!! Now they should next door and blow up Fed Ex field!!LOL:blah

Mike, didn't they hold a whole bunch of WWE / WWF events there in the past? I could picture driving past it on the way to Six Flags America, if I'm not mistaken!!!

Yes they did!! And WCW events too. Even though in 1990; WCW/Capitol Combat was held at The DC Armory. It was the first building to have a telepromtor in the ceiling. But the place was so dark inside. Thank goodness for The MCI Center which is in Downtown/Chinatown DC. Plenty of clubs and eateries across the street.
