It seems that these days, alot of compilations are mixed. I avoid buying these. I definitely prefer non-mixed as well as Maxi singles and full-lengths.

I hear what ur sayin , but I didnt know freestyle was pradomanately latin untill i got DEEPLY involved. But something is going on and what ever it is -it sucks!

WHAT??? FREESTYLE WAS PREDOMINANTLY HIP HOP AND THEN THE LATIN ELEMENT CAME AND THEN THE SAMPLED PLANET ROCK CAME AND THEN THE CHEESY VOCALS CAME ........AND NOW WE HAVE PC STUDIO FOR THE HOME...
ALL WE CAN HOPE FOR IS THAT THEY EXPAND THEIR SOUND BANK.....

ALL I CAN SAY IS WILLIE IS RIGHT WHEN HE SAYS THAT IT'S HARD TO GET THE PRODUCT INTO THE STORES AND WHEN YOU GET IT THERE, THEY WANT IT ON CREDIT AND THEN YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR THE MONEY AFTER THEY SOLD...
MOST PEEPS IF NOT ALL WHO ARE INVOLVED IN FREESTYLE ARE WORKING WITH SMALL BUDGETS AND THIS MAKES IT HARD TO GIVE CREDIT TO ALL THE MA AND PA SHOPS OUT THERE....
THEN YOU HAVE THE DJ'S WITH THE MIXED COMPS ON CD OR CASSETTE....
THIS PUTS A BURDEN ON US LABEL OWNERS WHO ARE FORCED TO BUY SMALL AMOUNTS OF PRODUCT SO WE ARE NOT TO GET STUCK WITH IT BECAUSE YOU BOUGHT IT OFF THE DJ FROM THE HOOD OR CLUB....

i like the mixes. its like surprising to hear what song is next and how its edited and mixed.and i like the dubs, back ups, and beats. so its never the same and i dont get tired of hearing it. songs always sound the same and i wind up playing them out. :dj
