naya...you know what the story is cuz youve lived it and unfortunately it is the truth and yes there is this type of crap in music in general too as someone else stated here, but the big difference is that they can afford to crap on eachother and talk smack and hate one another cuz their genres are so much bigger than ours that the little infighting that occurs is such a small reflection of the community as a whole...we as freestyle artists cannot afford to be so competitive as to put down any legitimate artist out there, new or pioneers (notice i did not say old...? lol). we need to all support eachother, root for one another to succeed and work together as one cohesive unit..this may be wishful thinking, but just think what our community would be like if all talented artists out there helped eachother??? why be so competitive as to give eachother dirty looks and step to one another..? whats all that about?? could we really afford as a community for tka to disappear, for george to leave for good, for naya to say goodbye or willie??? no way..that would be a terrible thing for everyone who cares an ounce about our music, we need them here. i say, if they are talented, let them all be successful.. there is room out there for all of us and anyone who succeeds just opened a new door for the rest of us to follow...whats wrong with that???

naya, you are one of the originals, one of the best ever...your continued work in our music is a reflection of your dedication to our music...you should be recognized and respected...so should tka, willie valentin, artie rodriguez, flipzide, nelson, george, johnny o...and many more...new direction is good and necessary to make it in this industry and we need to realize that, respect that as fans and as fellow artists, we are all family, no??
 
Nya I know exactly where you are coming from. I was there when you first started and I can honestly say I am very proud of you. You have come a long way. You used to be my dancer.... (remember when we first recorded "now & forever" wasnt it called "with one touch"? hahahaha i remember.............You know you have always had my support and always will. I called you back the other night but you had left already for the show. Hope everything turned out great that night.

LET ME SAY ONE THIONG I DEFINETLY LIKE SOME OF THE CHANGES CAUSE THATS WHAT WE REALLY NEED. LIKE WHAT TKA HAS DONE IS AWESOME. I read all these post and threads about "fans" hating on artists, because they changes their sopund, or because they gained a little wait and so on an so on and so on, it's neverending.

This past week I performed in a couple of places, some were good , some were ok, and some were not to be thought of again!..lol

I started thinking about the people who say that freestyle went down because of the fact that artists went in other directions, and so did producers, etc... then I start to laugh because yes those might have been minor factors in the downfall of freestyle's reign, but not the sole reason. Because if you guys could only see the real way MOST artist (not all) treat each other and talk about each other, you would be amazed!. and I'm not talking about some little dirty look here and there, or he said she said bull shit!, I'm talking about real hateful, spiteful shit. If the artists would support each other in this industry, us the FREESTYLE GENRE would have survived the downfall. I'm sure all this has been said before, it's no big surprise, but if your going to talk about the reasons why it went down, at least know the main reason why. It's all about the SUPPORT!!! and there isn't anything!!!!!!!!!!! FREESTYLE Will never again be at it's glory, because there is way more envious haters than there are supporters, and that's the F****ing bottom line! I have actually been blessed with a new found freindship from a fellow artist who has taken me under her wing, and for that I THANK YOU!!😉 too bad that friendships and alliances like these are very few and far in between.

and to "MISS THANG" please don't playa hate! I never did. We were both at the top once.

Baby you deserve a around of applause for this comment and view of realizim. I have been in this business for now 15 years and seen it all come from top to bottom, but have seeing it hurt so much that will make you walk away. But true people (not Artists) are the ones who do it because they love it, Sorry to say that I believe it will never change, and freestyle will never be on top as it use to be. So sad though, cause it is beautiful music. It have never die because if it did, non of the reunions would have been made, there will never have been new school music. And people regardless who they are listen to freestyle. Naya your a sweet and good person and happy to have met you and consider you my friend. I know those things that happen to you will stop you so...F*&k'em All.....and kill those cucarachas....LMAO...hugzzz babe...And the behind the scene things....People Be happy your not behind the scenes.......

Take my word for it I have a few music friends that have shown me love by letting me see what this biz is like and at times it seems like people are just out to get there job done and thats good as long as you get payed for your work.

your not in the music biz unless you get payed in the music biz.

I'll tell you what in this biz you have to be smart and not let any one stop you from reaching your goals; what ever they may be.
