building collapse in NYC??

I was told that a building in NYC has collapsed, and so far, 4 people were pulled out of it.

Has anyone heard about this? We don't have radio here in teh office, and there is nothing on the 'net about it.

NEW YORK (AP) -- A building under demolition in upper Manhattan partially collapsed Thursday, injuring at least five people including a child, officials said.

It was not immediately known how much of the building came down shortly after 9 a.m.

Dora Kalbouros, a police department spokeswoman, said the structure was being taken down when it collapsed, and a child was among the five people pulled out of the rubble.

They were taken to St. Luke's-Roosevelt hospital with undetermined injuries, she said.

At least 30 fire department units responded to the collapse, said Fire Department spokesman Charlie Markey. Dozens of firefighters were sifting through the rubble and collapsed scaffolding around the building looking for other possible victims.

The building is at 100th Street and Broadway on the Upper West Side
