Now before you guys get up in arms about this hear me out for a second. I have heard her new album and I almost dropped to the floor when I heard a song on it called "That's where you take me" Anyways, this song has sort of a freestyle beat. I have been on here long enough to know that everyone has thier different opinions on what is considered freestyle these days. But I'm gonna be brave and put my opinion out there and say, YES this track does in fact sound like a newer freestyle song. That leads me to the next thing I'm going to say, if a major star like Britney can get away with singing to the beats that to me sound like freestyle, then maybe there IS a future for freestyle music to be heard by the general public. Obviously she had the sense to record this track so she (or her producers) must be up on our music. If any of you freestylers have heard this track, what do you think about it and her choice to sing it. Even if you haven't heard it, what do you think this does for freestyle in general? I'm open to any opinions. 🙂

She's Just Fake And I Personally Can't Stand Her.

In order for Britany Spears to record a Freestyle record, she would first have to know what Freestyle is...I seriously doubt that she does.

It's not freestyle, ....but it is somewhat "Freestyle-ish". I wote about it on my review on www.FreestyleMusic.com .
It's most definately Pop,.....but with a twist. It's not the usual.

& Phoney or not, ...I think it's a great idea for todays "popular" artists to use our sound, ....therefore , they can open the door for our Freestyle artists,.....& they can take over once again, ...as they did before.

Well I'll be able to listen to it soon cuz my little sis has it for Christmas. I'll see how it sounds and reply in time. But I don't think Britney would ever consider going Freestyle.
 
Actually.....I think she knows what freestyle is, ....considering that the Cover Girls, & a few other Freestyle artists were on the Micky Mouse Club.

.....lol... at that time JC from N*SYNC was on the cast too...lol!

& they sang a "Mickey Mouse Club" version of Giggle's "What Goes Around, Comes Around"....

I don't even remember Britney on MMC to be honest with you. I remember JC and Justin. I also don't think Britney will ever go completely freestyle, it's just that she might be the one to bring it to the public's consciousness. Kind of like how Madonna brought vogueing to the general public even though it had been around in the clubs for years. I would still consider this song a full on freestyle track but I was thinking maybe if some of the younger generation hear this music, then we would be able to have freestyle get a newer more broad audience.
 
I just heard the song. Yeah you can say it has a bit of a freestyle beat to it. But I don't think it'll do anything to her like releasing the track.

i've been meaning to post on this subject.

i heard the song a while back and i thought that it had Freestylish sound to it. i know how alot of ppl here feel about POP acts so i decided not to post about it.

i dont know how many of the ppl replying to ur post have heard the song.... to me it definately had that freestylish sound. i dont know if id call it a freestyle song... i probably wouldnt.

feel how u may about Britney... but if this song is released as a single this just might encourage the industry to warm up to freestyle again. this is just my humble unimportant opinion.

I'm not a Hater so I give props to Britney for doing her thing!! the chick is paid and hey if someone offered me a record deal and all I had to do is pose my image and don't worry about singing why not I mean F#$ck it she's getting paid and has probably achieved so much by 21 then us in a lifetime.....I'm not gonna hate on her she's a great performer.....as well as Nsync. Mind you I didn not say singers but performers.

as far as for her singing freestyle I think it would be a great idea that way the young people would want to know where this type of music originated and buy all the Real freestyle....cuz that's what freestyle needs to get back on the map and what great way to do it by bringing it back with a famous performer; pop or no pop when Britney sings it or puts it on her album people are going to be intrigued.

I mean this is the type of shit we've been arguing for years cuz freestyle gets ZERO exposure so now what....you guys are gonna get picky on who sings freestyle or not.....come on people.....cuz don't act like all freestyle singers are great cuz some of them are awful......and makes me wonder how the hell they have freestyle song out there.....

brit is a good on stage presence and i hear she's a nice girl. its too bad she lip synchs on her tour shows.
nstynk makes hit records, onstage im not to thrilled about them, and sadly ive heard not so nice things about them in person.
