It is great to see an ex-Freestyle artist who has struggled and achieved so much to finally, once again, land a great record deal. I had no knowledge of this until recently and I feel that is was long overdue. Brenda K. Starr is truly a talented artist who has done just about everything to stay where she belongs, on top. From her appearance in Beat Street to her quality-style Salsa to her tight deep-house "Hold Me"- this lady's taking things to a new level. I also feel that she portrays a great image to other artists and they should take notice. Just because you are a Freestyle artist does not necessarily hold you back from doing other projects. For the most part, her name is widely known to people that don't even listen to Freestyle or Latin only because she has worked on different projects the whole time. So I definitely give her props for what she has done. Being a mother of 4 (or is it 5 now) and trying to work in the music industry is not easy. And I know for a fact that it has definitely not gone to her head because I have had the opportunity to speak and chill with her and she's right on point. I wonder how India's feeling right about now. P.S.- anyone catch the Latin Awards last year?

does this mean another english album is coming? i really liked "hold me". that cute high voice over that hard house beat - that was a tight contrast!
