I'm asking that everyone take a moment to click on the below link (or copy and paste) so that a free mammogram is offerred to an underpriveleged person.
You will see this pink window that states "DONATING A MAMOGRAM" or something like that... click on that and then close the window. It's that simple.
I just found out that this team mother (her son played on my boys football team) passed away last month from breast cancer. She had it for short time, but she was in remission, then at the awards dinner on January 16th, she looked like it came back.
I won't sit here and say that we were friends or anything like that, but it still hurt to know this young woman with a young child (he's only 10) lost her life.
I think about them every day and I pray he finds strength to get through this. When the director at our after care program saw the boy shortly after his mother's death, he said he looked lost.... which is understandable and heartbreaking.
So, if this small step helps another mother, sister, child live longer, I'm glad I can help.
