I liked the quality of Diana
Settle down was kind sentimental and reminded me of something my Pops use to say "boy ,ya get married work a 9 to 5 and settle down when u grow up"...circa 1980 when I was 8.... Great song but the modern Terminology is the missing link to the younger (picky streetsmart)buying crowd.
Friday night is also pretty wore thin in the cliche sense considering only a small portion of us work monday -friday dayshift and get paid on "friday" as the blue collar union class saying applies to.Nice beat could use a cleaner more spread out mix on the vocals.

Call me on the phone made me flash back to when I first discovered nitrous aka EZ whips complete with Balloon.I give u props for the most interesting freestyle song I have ever heared.I would have normaly just kept my opinion to my self but since you were one of my greatest influences when I began I have to ask what are u gonna do differently on the rest of the album.I am sure u have ur game plan.Please bro for the love of God and Freestyle tell me u got it under control and all according to plan.I am very worried for you mayn.

I have never posted here although I have been registered for a while and have been a freestyle fan since it started. But with Johnny O coming out with new stuff, I just wanted to give my 2 cents. First of all, I really like Settle Down and I think it has a great beat and vocals and sounds like a true freestyle song. With the exception of Rockell and a few others, there hasn't been much released in the past 5-7 years worth buying in the freestyle category.

I think Johnny O deserves alot of credit for coming out with new material after such a long layoff and also for the fact that he is still staying with the freestyle sound, unlike other "legends"

Can't wait for the new CD.

:1luv I LOVED ALL the songs!! I am a diehard old schooler, but with the quality of new school (like this and others) that's been coming out I am changing my ways!

I for one am sending any DJ or ClUB that I have the time to email the link to Johnny's audio samples on the CF lobby page, and I will also email them this thread!! If you WANT JohnnyO to perform in YOUR TOWN, and if you LIKE what you've heard so far in these song samples, then PLEASE follow my lead and do the SAME as me!!

You can find clubs and radio stations in your town by checking the phone book, newspaper, and for clubs by going on www.hotclubs.net if you're from the East Coast.

I feel like all of us at Clubfreestyle wanted JohnnyO back in the freestyle scene soooo bad that maybe we were the deciding factor lol(I hope so) when he came out of retirement.....

Johnny O. "Friday Nights"

i really liked "friday night". that was hot! the beat kinda reminded me of an updated version of the old s.o.s. band "take your time do it right" cut (which is one of my old school favorites)! also, much props for uniting the freestyle bounce with a filtered type vibe! very different, off the hook! i hope the full length is like 8 minutes long!
 
I love all the songs. It has been a long time for your return but worth the wait. My fav will always be "Don't go away". I can't wait for the new CD!!!!!

All the sample songs are great, I liked them all and Couldn't choose one. Diana's new version is wonderful also take me through the night, better stop here or i'll mention all the samples... Can't wait till the album comes out and to have Johnny here in Chicago... When will that be?? Johnny thanks for answering your e-mail so fast, your the coolest... Are you people mad? I think all the songs suck! Just because he's Johnny O, you don't have to sweat his ass. It's like TKA's album...everybody was raving about it even though it sucked! If these artists want to do different types of music they shouldn't try to pass it off as freestyle or say it's a new sytle freestyle. No offense to you Johnny, try not to take this too personally..I like your old stuff and I have all your albums but I get no goosebumps with these songs. They do nothing for me. :crap

Sorry to hear some people don't enjoy Johnny's music, but I do like these new songs of Johnny. And hope to continue to hear some more... VM

i am sorry to hear you are disappointed.. but i have herd the full songs and i can tell you that the samples dont do the songs justice and there are 4 freestyle tracks that i have herd that are not posted. I am a huge freestyle music fan for very long time and i understand the thought and bringing up TKA but let me assure you Johnny said it himself all the songs are not freestyle he is not trying to pass this album as a freestyle album. he has freestyle and high energy and dance a mixture. I herd it and he has said it..

How is that a negative "opinion"? And if it is, who are you to tell us what we can or can not say? you say how can someone say something negative about a song while not hearing the entire song? well how can people say it's amazing when not hearing the whole song? it works both ways. I am not saying I hate or love his his samples but everyone has his or her opinion weather you like it or NOT!!
