God has blessed me
Blessed me with a man
and a beautiful child
blessed me to be able to wake up in the morning
with a smile
on my face
Not ever wanting to trade this time or place
with anything else
Not even the pain that I've felt
During times that I was stressed and
then later depressed - felt trapped
My happiness and sanity consumed
engulfed like a butterfly in a silk coccoon
Needing to spread my wings
To experience precious things that life brings
Just wanted OUT!
He's blessed me with a voice to shout
I LOVE YOU!
Beautiful, captivating, mindblowing bold words
that I've heard escaping from different lips
puncturing my ears like spears over and again
from my daughter, my man, my family, my friends
Words not to be taken for granted only
to be received and then passed on to thee
