Normally yes...but not this one....

it it sent through unprotected IP addresses on the internet...its mostly affecting unprotected cable modem users. but has hit a few dialup users too..i think its finds a hole in windows XP/2000 or Internet explorer etc...

its a bitch..i've gotten over 200 calls in 3 days at work because of it...and we took in 60 systems in our service center

:mad it happened to me a few days ago before it was on the news but since then I've had my comp formatted again and I have a firewall now so its all good but it was so annoying

tell me about it. i'm a computer troubleshooter on keen.com. i've been gettings calls from clients left & right. every one got hit at once. i was lucky i had the pacth since july!

Yeah I actually had it for about a week now...and didn't know how to get rid of it...but I figured it out just a few hours ago...that was BEYOND annoying :mad

Thank You! I know what to do now if my comp is in trouble! 😉

actually friggin ant you have the fix backwards. u should go to symantec first to remove the worm then after it's removed u download the fix. the patch will not install thats what the worm does!!

i recommend just uninstalling windows and then reinstall this way you are sure to be rid of any suspicious files. not all malicious files can be detected.

I believe it affects any windows system newer than windows 98

that shit had me goin coo coo. I put up the firewall and so far it's been ok. But I want to run over Bill Gates for letting that shit happen cono!
