Okay, I got my answer to the song I was looking for in another post. Now I'm probably pushing my luck with this one, but I'm going to shoot for it anyway.
In 1984 I had a friend who had a 12" called Bits & Pieces 84. My understanding is that someone (I don't know which label or D.J) would record a compilation of the years best freestyle music and masterfully mix it all into one album. It came out on a yearly basis and would be called "Bits & Pieces 84" - "Bits & Pieces 85".
1-Does anyone remember these?
2-What year did they start?
3-What year did they stop?
4-Are they still available?
5-Who distributed these albums (D.J. or record company)?
Any bits & pieces of info (no pun intended), would be greatly appreciated!
