Maybe when the lake freezes up in mid-winter, people thought it'd be a good idea to drive up onto it and park? LOL.
Here in VA we have a law against covering your license plate with a plastic protective cover. The law doesnt' actually mention anything about that, but the judges will fine you $30 plus court costs in a heartbeat. Ontario doesn't have that law? Those blue covers that I always see on cars in Toronto would get you pulled over in a second here in Fairfax County, VA.

Tran man it may have been overhyped in Southern Ontario but guess what.. 700,000 people have no electricity or running water in Virginia Beach, and MANY people in the D.C. and Baltimore areas are still lacking power. 36 people died and many houses were destroyed. Some big limbs and branches fell from my willow trees. I still have to tie them up and take them to the curbside. But we were lucky. Some people had limbs fall on their roofs!
