Ok here's the situation:
I have my notice at work since I'm moving back to NY at the end of the month. The boss in turn hired a person that cannot work past 4 pm- My hours were always 9-5.....The person who works evenings was hired for 5-8 mon- thur and 9-1 on sat. everything is fine...
until ,, the bossalready told the new person she can work till 4.
here's the prob, the other person cannot work at 4 because her hubby works and gets off at 4- they have only 1 car between them.
So after I told the boss , she cannot work at 4 for those reasons she stated:
Well then I'll have to let her go- she was hired to be flexible" which is such BS!! I don't think she can do that legally..and I had to give her a heads up- cuz I've become friends w/ the other person who's name happends to be LIZ as well.....so I got Liz alll upset, but I also told her to do this:
1st- demand a letter of termination. go to welfare and unemployment and show tht letter..
2nd, CPR gave me a phone number for a job when I was lookin , so I gave that number to her.....I know she can use it- and she needs the money.....
I know if the boss does fire her- she'll use different reasons.....there are realy no other reasons for her dismissal. No one has complained about her, they all like her...she doesn't steal(how few are left?)so if that does happend I hope that LIZ can find out if that can be done legally. and I'll be more than happy to go against the Boss- I've always know that witch was unstable....
I needed to vent cuz it bothered me so much when she let go of the manager......I felt like I had to keep that place up, with me leaving what will happend next...I really hope things work out for LIZ
