KTU for months have been plugging the TKA "Forever" cd on their website please visit http://www.ktu.com however after that I also know KTU should play both TKA hits When Will I C U & Feel The Music eventhough they have not except for a week when they came out! That is not enough!KTU needs more support for TKA!Also all artists performing should get paid!TKA's new music got nice airplay in Chicago & Miami however their homebase New York didn't play them on radio as much like the should have! The Colisuem here in Clearwater is one the best new pereforming music centers in America yet TKA turned it down and chose to perform in the Bronx however with Arlene and the huge party in the Bronx they made the right decision!TyBless why doesn't TKA schedule another friday or weekend to perfom here in the beautiful sunny beaches of Clearwter/Tampa Bay,Florida?!They had a special friday Latino night planned just for TKA!Note Colisuem is a Thursdays and Saturday Latin dance and contemporary American dance music club that was doing a special night just for TKA's concert which was highly anticipated by the Latino community. With that said the Bronx show looks even better just cause the boggie down Bronx parties are like no other and you have two acts the talented Arlene along with TKA is a can't miss winner!Still my heart is broken they should do another show down here! Finally,How does anyone make a living without paying the artists to perform?!Well I spoke my piece. What is is.One.Omar 😉
Kenny Guido (i love that name lol), it was happening then too pal. Just not as drastic as today.
Khia is the 'big name' artist that isn't gonna be at Beatstock. Not as big as a name that Kenny Guido made it sound. I just called my friend who works as phone op at KTU, he told me
We wouldn't pass up a trip to Florida for anything..The promoters and the club owners had a disagreement, therefore we were nixed in the middle of the shuffle.
We were gearing to go to Clearwater. Good thing is I had a back up plan, and Wild Palm it is...
Don't let them gas you into believing we turned them down...WE WANTED TO GO!
Still do.
I can go on for days bitchin about KTU not supporting us, but the bottom line is money, with no current label support it's a wrap for TKA, forever.
But we will be giggin at least until the end of the year. Thanks for trying for us P1.
Is there somebody good that is going to perform or is just a rumor?!Kenny if you know what's up?!No holding back!Keep real Kenny! We club Freestylers are counting on you my dude.One.Omar 😉
TKA are like the Isley brothers legendry American music performers you know what I mean?!They should continue performing forever and K7 & TyBless are like Zapp & Roger you can't have one without the other or it just doesn't sound tight tight like you guys do on your new cd ya' mean?!I will buy a few more copies of TKA "Forever" and I will continue to plug your concerts and pack the clubs full of new TKA fans here in Florida until the end of the year!I'm still batting for you my brothers until the last strike in 9th and if we have to go to extra innings to win in at this music game I'm ready for sure!GOD Bless You my brothers TyBless & TKA!!!TKA Forever! One Luv,Omar 🙂
There are so many people who talk out of their ass and don't have a clue as to what goes on behind the music scene. and i mean everything from radio, shows, clubs, promoters, other artists, etc...
plain & simple: it isn't easy for our legends of freestyle and they are some of the hardest working people in this sometimes f*ckup industry.
i give credit and much respect to the artists who are still kickin ass more than 15 years later......
it kills me when a radio station won't support new music from a freestyle artist, but won't hesitate to call on them for a free show.
i agree with TKA not doing beatstock, and this may be the reason why their freestyle list isn't longer.
KTU not supporting new music from TKA, SAFIRE, etc... isn't gonna make their ratings go further down. KTU is lacking deversity.
Shaggy?? Not a huge fan, but i've seen him a couple of times before on radio show concerts and he really puts on a good show, so that will be cool to see him again...
