For you or a MOD to even think of banning a member...there has to be a valid reason (as Ed stated) so why would you put it up for a vote? :confused

Well because maybe my valid reason or your valid reason is not valid to the majority.
This is why I am asking.. thats all. No offence to anyone. Just want to be as
fair as possible as I always thought I was.

Well if you're going to follow the policy "the majority rules" YES. If you're not going to follow that, then NO.

You're right, sometimes what you feel was valid isn't valid to other members. And sometimes, you do have to ban members. But lets keep in mind that if you approach some situations differently than usual and NOT ban members so quickly, perhaps you will get the respect a second time around from them and not lose members by quantity because they didn't agree with your decision to ban. There are members here that are very opinionated. They have to voice their opinions. But sometimes people will READ something one way, where it wasn't really INTENDED to take the way they did, (offensively).

I think an issue like this should be a majority rules type of thing. Perhaps a court room style thing, with Mods and VIP members being a jury, discussing the evidence presented, and making a decision.

In general, I don't agree on banning people, and was even willing to tolerate Chulo75 and Scape83 to keep the peace.

I think banning members is a last resort type of thing...first we warn, then suspend and depending then ban...I think we need to follow the steps...but again I think it all depends on the situation

LaBettyBoop, I agree great post...
along with ChuckD and the lovely Sonya.
Rookie your statement is very good I am all for it.
Krystal - what do you think?

Everyone has stated good points on this. 😀

Maybe we can put it in place and give it a try but if it doesn't work then we'll have to think of something else.

Awww "the lovely Sonya" thanks Jack now I feel all special lol 🙂

I think banning is a waste of effort and time. Can't a banned member just simply creat another sign in name? But to answer the question at hand, i think voting is fair. Not everyone has the same opinion as far as to what constitutes banning a member.

I agree with Sonya, I believe in people stating their own opinion, but getting out of hand is another issue. 3 stricks and your out. Also it is true what Psycho said that another sign in name can be created and come back. So I believe in voting and we are a family we need to look at everything overrall.

I don't have a problem with someone stating an opinion. The problem comes in when people take it to another leave. A personal level!! We're all adults and it's so funny that the underage members are more calm that the adult members. I think if someone is gonna be banned the mods should be asked and they gotta to have GOOD AND VALID points for banning that member. I know some of us become good freinds or are still good friends with banned member and take it the hardest.

I Have To Say That I Agree With The Mods Being Asked But To Realistic If The Person In Question Is A Close Friend, Will You Really Vote Yes. But Hey Im Willing To Try Something New.

I say let the VIP's vote, if it can't be settled by the VIP's than move it to the MODs, if the mods can't settle it, than off to the Supreme Court... Meaning Jack and Krystal. lol
