AKT has a very good point. I'm not the type that likes to refer to things as complete garbage, so I won't. However, there are many DJs out there with better mixing styles than Bad Boy Joe. Tim Spinnin Schommer will blow him away. Mario Smokin Diaz, DJ Payback Garcia, Tony Boom Boom Badea, DJ Pullout, and Juan 2 Big all have better mixing styles. The best freestyle dj I think I ever heard is Kid Heartbreak. Maybe its just something about Chicago, but these guys get LIVE on the mix tape (quick edits, remixes, hot blendz). By the way, the real "Bad Boy" is Bad Boy Bill. I think it's an insult that somebody even use part of such a respected and famous name. I also think its unfair that Willie Valentin hype up a cd that aint all that just cuz him and his artists are on it. That's just not right.

This is a matter or opinion and not drama. You feel the need to stand behind product that is inferior then that is your business.

I'm sure BadBoyJoe isn't trying to exploit "New School" to try and liscense them to other countries like Canada or anything like that...But when it comes to "New School" and its presentation it has to be done well. If he already had the permission to use these tracks then he could of taken the time and put together a megamix of them.

As for Willie Valentin, Phillip Anthony, Nu Image, Edwin Ramos putting this megamix over is expected. They are excited to have their product out there for everyone to hear. They should be proud!

PS: Juan Too Big Perez and Kid Heartbreak are pretty horrible too. They are always cutting of the songs in the middle of the lyrics.

This is true...I am a MOD here, but every member on CF has their own opinion. Just because I see it as drama doesn't mean others will. 🙂
 
Hey first of all I think the entire concept and ideas are great. I happen to like the way badboy joe mixes. This is not because myself or my artists are featured on his new cd. I am real. Some people have nothing better to do than to be negative. This cd helps. Who said the new school cd was going to be a mix? You assumed it was. and when you assume you make an ass out of u..... well you know the rest. I am not here to defend this cd. I like it. If you guys dont like some of the songs on the cd its ok. How many of you have entire cds in which you like each and every song. Big props to Joe and Gene and to all the artists on this new release. Old school and new!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are all entitled to our own opinions. So i'll leave it at that. Freestyle is beautiful. Negative posts definately dont help the music....... Like mom said if you dont have anything nice to say dont say nothing at all.......
 
Whats prompting all this Negativity from AKT? As I said before, the songs arent really CUT, ur not missing ANY Lyrics other than some ad-libs, so stop makin people think that they're getting Half songs..and then you wanna critisize BadBoy Joe's DJing, come on fellas, Stop HATIN'! I have heard all 3 of Bad Boy Joes Mega Mixes, and he has alot of talent. Im ALSO a BIG FAN of Tim Schommer's work, ever since Heart Beats 1. I've owned Mixes from Juan " Too Big" Perez, Kid Heartbreak, Jumpin' Julian and ALL of them have had Great Stuff...but HERE, I named a GROUP of DJ's who LOVE the music and continue to put together Mixes in a style of their own, a Collage of their Art with music we LOVE....and thats what Freestyle has ALWAYS been about "LOVE" so why the hell do people have to display so much HATE when someone tries something new? AKT, if u can do better than JOE, lets hear it...if not...your Silence is golden!

Its a great CD it has good music and amazing talent. I guess some people only know how to be negative when that's all there subjected to. But honestly it accomplishes nothing.

Plain and simple if you love freestyle old and new go out and support it.
Even if I wasn't on this CD i would still get it I have the first 2 and I love them.
the edits are off the hook.
Gene and Joe are exceptional DJs with much talent.
Thank you for helping the new artist when most look the other way.

I've been visiting this board for a long time now and this is actually my first post. I have to sit back and laugh at all the haters
that have nothing better to do than bash people who are doing what they wish they can do. Bad Boy Joe happens to be a personal friend of mine and he does what he does because he loves the music. He didn't have to put a bonus disc in vol.3 but he did it to give new school artists a chance to get some real exposure. Do you realize that this "BONUS DISC" could get in the hands of more than 50,000 people. Do tou know what that could mean to some of these artists. This is major distribution peolpe and this could really open doors.
As far as mentioning mixing skills, i've seen Joe do what he does in the studio and people think u put 2 songs in the computer press a button and the songs magically mix together. Not even close. You have to mix it on turntables just like at a party and then do some touch ups and editing on the PC so it sounds right. Joe is incredible at what he does so stop the hate and support freestyle. Other dj's were mentioned such as Bad Boy Bill, Tim Schommer, I even read Johnny Budz one time. Let me ask u this...When was the last time any of these dj's or any dj sold 100,000 copies of a FREESTYLE cd as Joe did with
Vol.1????? Don't get me wrong..i think all of these dj's are great
but don't criticise what u don't know about....PEACE......
 
Seriously guys!!! Don't you feel that the "New School" could of been presented in a better form. A mix of the tracks would of hit the spot and presented the "New School" in a new light.

The Title of the entire package is "THE BEST OF FREESTYLE MEGA MIX"
Nowhere in the packaging on the outside[front and back] does it say that the "NEW SCHOOL" set is NOT mixed!! So you expect it!

As I stated before...All of the "New Schoolers" should be proud with the fact that they are on this project. Nothing that I write on this thread will change that...or hurt the sales of this product.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS BAD PUBLICITY!

I'm just disapointed with the "New School" presentation. That's all!

I´m just wondering why AKT was the ONLY person which told us that there are no full songs on the bonus cd...
Is this written on the cover?
You should have declared it as a "free sample cd" or something like that. This could have helped to clear up the situation...

I´m not hating... I just did not expect this because nobody told us before...

Nevertheless I will get the cd(s).
 
The reason I told you was because I know all of you were expecting different. As soon as I got my copy...I had to let you know.

I know that all of you will still get it. I'm not trying or want to stop that.

BUT!!

To call this cd as being "HOT", "OFF THE HOOK" or whatever! is misinformation.
 
I dont give a damn how its mixed...It has new school in it..Something you dont see a lot happening now do u?..oh and it has Nick..:nutz..LOLOLOL
