ps-just my opinion, but i wouldn't categorize songs such as "i'll house you" and "white lines" as freestyle.(the way we know it now)

It would be great to also hear new stuff from Canada, Germany and Brazil on freshly pressed compilations like these.
Also, why wasn't a medley radio edit included like the other cds in the series???

it's unfortunate that we have to look hard, and usually unsucessfully, just to find new freestyle cds out there. there's such a market out there (of freestyle lovers) as proven by this site, that many record stores need to reach out to. it would be nice to walk into any record store and find a freestyle section with new releases shipped in regularly.
just to further make a point, (in the united states), we currently have digital cable tv available. having such, you are given like 35 cd music stations to choose from. they cover just about every category of music, including by the decades. but sorry to say, not one station is dedicated to freestyle!

THERE IS A STATION ON DIGITAL THAT DOES PLAY FREESTYLE ASA PART OF THE MIX SOMETIMES U HEAR IT ON DANCE AND SOMETIMS ON THE 80'S CHANNEL

I just tried to buy it right off the site, but it doesn't seem to be available for purchase yet 🙁

Hi Rock. I live in Manhattan and let me tell you that all Record Stores are not alike. I buy the new Freestyle CD's from "Rincon Musical" and they have their own section for Freestyle. 😉 That's right. I've bought Bad Boy Joe CD's and others and I never have a problem with that Record Store. So I don't know where you're from but check to see if they have one of these Rincon Musical Record Stores where you live. They should all be the same, I would think. 😛

hi bettyb...i was born and raised in bklyn, now living in queens.
what i meant by my comments was that if you go to a major record store like tower, hmv, virgin, or coconuts, they really don't have a large selection of freestyle cds. the ones they do have are old (which i already have in my collection), and it seems the only thing new they ever get, are the bad boy joe mixes. they need to bring in new cds regularly. i mean , these major record stores should carry freestyle as they do all other types of music.
now i do have lots of freestyle cd mixes, but they are not "professionally" done, meaning by a an actual record label. the cd mixes are done by local nyc "underground" djs who sell their work in the smaller neighborhood record stores. almost a month ago, i went to this record joint in the south bronx. the owners were puerto rican , so i just knew they would have freestyle...lol. i wound up buying a dozen cds. btw, where is that "rincon musical" store located in nyc?
also, to edalgiere...i'm aware that they play some freestyle on the 80's and dance cd stations. but there is no station DEDICATED to freestyle ONLY. as i'm sure you know, every other type of music ,has their own dedicated station. shoot, they even have a gospel and opera music station.
oh sophia, check coconuts' record store.

😉 GREAT MIX...I RECENTLY HEARD THIS MIX ON LATINO MIX..105.9FM..ON THE FREESTYLE FLASHBACK SHOW WITH DIAMOND-BOY-LUIS..YES BAD BOYJOE PLAYS THERE TO.. 😛

I CANT FIND IT!!:crap I CALLED TOWER, AND SOME OTHER LOCAL STORE'S IN MY NECK OF THE WOODS AND THEY DONT HAVE IT EITHER:crap HELP!

I dont think that this is the Freestyle Megamix Volume 4..it's some kind of old school house mix. I think we would have been made aware if Volume 4 was out or due to come out soon.

because a freestyle only station will never be a top 5 station owners want #1 thats the reality radio is a business and its thee for one thing and one thing only make money

if peeps want FS to flourish lets start getting djs to put it into there mixes ay clubs nu skool as well as old if u know clubs that play it get the word out and lets support them and the djs because thats where u have to start

edalgiere...i'm not talking about actual radio stations...in that scenario, i agree with you. they will only play music that would make them mucho money. the issue i was referring to, was cd stations on digital cable. that's a whole different arena. they have like 35 cd stations on time warner cable, which include classical, gospel , opera, holiday, cartoon ...u get the picture. these types of music are not exactly that high in demand, yet they are still available to subscribers.
