Guys come on she's new don't you get it...and with all the people who are well known in the industry that were there...in an unknown city...and if as for her feeling uneasy well hey it happens...as for lip singing I can make a massive list of other well known freestyle artists that lip sing...hey some people are amazing singers but just ain't the best of performers it happens...it's just my opinion I wasnt there but hey they are one of the few canadians that have performed in nyc props to them

o i didnt see her perform. well i thought everyone i heard was great. and i give them all praise for mixin w/us fans.
 
nilli vanilli re visted ..except the latin crowd is not so naive,,she was as talented as ray charles in a traffic control center for in bound flights!!!

As we all know, everyone has their own opinions and it will always be like that. Basically the entire party INCLUDING the performers were great! And I would ASSUME that the majority of the people there had a good time! Now it's over and we await for another big party. :lol

Zoe – By the time she performed, I was soo tired all I wanted was to go sit down!!! Besides that she has a nice voice! 😀

I don't think I need to add more... seems like Civic Si Gina said everything how it is... you seem to judge them.. but I wanna see you on stage for the first or second time in the city where no one knows you, trying to impress the crowd...

Obviously Canadian Freetsyle is different... it's more dancy and what-not... yet it seems that you just don't give them a chance did you?...

Desire, Remus&Traian and Thiago are all actually good singers... when they performed in Toronto, where people could sing along to the lyrics of their songs.. the feel was totally different, everyone was dancing and showing full support... I mean to travel to NY and sing for the second time to the huge audience takes a lot of guts! It takes courage and will power... it's not something you can do just like that... and Desire, she freaked out... I mean it happens to so many singers in the first steps of their career that you could have just let it go... You spent almost an entire page talking about how she didn'twanna be ther... would you wanna be there when there are people like you who judge her for something unintentional? Think NOT!

You're comparing performances of "American Freestyle Stars" with new comers... did you take time to maybe listen to their songs before or AFTER the show before you had this review? no you didn't.. you go and shoot your mouth... I didn't appreciate it... it's NOT cool to bash new artists... I mean it's one thing not to have talent, but these 4 DO have good voice and talent... I didn't think it was necessary to bash them... they wouldn't be invited to the show if they sucked.. obviously the organizers liked what they heard, right? right!

anyhow... I just thought I should comment on this stupid post... I thought I shouldn't.. but meh what the heck.. it gets to me... you NEVER visit Candian section... Otherwise you would freaking KNOW that Thiago is a Member on CF and that he's a GUY:rolleyes :splat ...I don't think you know ANY canadian singers or own any canadian CDs.. n' to sit there and run your mouth like that.. it takes guts... it really does... not in a good way! the gossip kinda way.. nothing better to do kinda way

As for Zoe... she is amazing... she's a good singer, good performer and an amazing person... I'm surprised you didnt have much to say about her... But thankfully she doesn't care for criticism and she does her thing regardless of what people has to say...

I guess my point to all this is that it doesn't seem that American freestyle fans don't give two damns about Canadian freestyle (of course not all.. there are a few of you that are amazing supporters)... yet when it comes to critisize.. they're all right there.. chewing on the latest gossip... just because freestyle is not american, does't mean its bad!

Me personally speaking, I hear you girl but there is one lesson that has to be learned here, if you want to be a club singer which that's what freestyle is. Songs to be sung in clubs, you have to know how to work the crowd and be prepared for all types of situations. I'm no pro but I learned early in my career that when it comes to the stage you have to act like your with family and treat the audience likewise. Once you think this way, you become more relax because the people don't intimidate you any more. For me, I've had to perform in cluds that hated hispanic people, even got called a spick before doing my show but once I performed, I had every redneck(no disrespect but that's what they were) in that joint on their feet applauding me and my dancers. Now tell me if that wasn't a nerve racking situation but I had to take control of my feelings and show these people that regardless of how they see me or what they thought of me, I came to have fun and to give a damn good show. Desire has to let go of the fear #1, secondly forget about the people on the side of the stage showing support, concentrate instead on the audience and directing the song towards them. This shows confidence. Lastly have fun on stage and the audience will have fun with you. Remember, you want them to enjoy the song so have a good time on the stage. They will remember the performance for being a good show because she had a good time on the stage then remember the mess up's and the lack of confidence.

This is just a bit of advice and just my opinion but who am I to know what's a good show or not. I perform having fun and treating my audience as if I were performing for my friends and family and in my mind that's what they all are. My friends and family.
 
Cheree i appreaciate ur post... and i know.. they have to learn how to do it.. but it's hard.. i mean no one ver heard of them.. and for them to try and make a show.. it's difficult, being in the same group as WIllie Valentin, SOave, Nu_image.. these guys are well known in NY... it's easier for htem.. they get their support.. these guys(thiago, desire, Remus & Traian ) don't!... I don't understand what's the point it putting the artists down?

they WILL learn how to act on stage.. no one gives lessons in that... they WILL feel confortable... this was a big chance for them to show themselves to non-canadian crowd... and i got really mad when i saw her review... she has NO idea who those people are... yet she's big enough to run her mouth like that!!

I support ALL canadian freestyle artists.. so I take these comments personally... if there are some american artists I dont' like, I won't be bashing them here, cos I got more respect for what they do than that!

I hear you sweetie, my words are just words of advice. It's not easy when your just starting and believe me I remember those day. When I was just starting out in freestyle, I was constantly being pushed in front of the big name artist (coro, c&c music factory, TKA, & More, etc) having to open up for them, that was nerve racking. I really felt the pressure to have to do well with my performance. Imagine performing in front of soooo many people but I had to show confidence and that's all Desire needs. Don't show fear because people can be cruel and they will eat you alive. Case and point, tell Desire that we are only people and that she doesn't have to be afraid. Tell her to just have a good time on stage and forget about everything else. That's her moment to shine, so do so! I've performed where I've messed up but because I'm having such a good time, people don't care. They are having fun with me. I know in time she will lose that, but for now tell her to just have fun on the stage whether we know the song or not. Whether it's in Canada or in the US!
