very intresting - I do remember back in the days several clubs did have their own little awards ceremony.

you also had the new york music awards which was around for a couple of years, i went in 1989. over those few years several freestyle artist were nominated and won.

SAFIRE, BRENDA K. STARR, SEDUCTION, COVER GIRLS were among the nominees. i know for sure that SAFIRE won a total of 6 awards.

these awards were covered by the tv networks which gave more exposure to these artists.

to bad it isnt around anymore.

Your right

To bad is not like it use, cause there's to much talent out there without being regonize. but Hopefully it will all come again. I know in AMAZURA they did that I think that was about 2 to 3 years ago. Maybe Willie Valentin remenbers that.

Yes it was and is...we need to get stuff like this going get our respect and proove what freestyle really is. Hey Jack you bored and looking for old stuff..lol...

No Doubt - Alex, a few of us Mods are doing a FREESTYLE THREAD FLASHBACK.. Getting some great threads read by many newer members.
