As It Plays

So melodic that sound,
With its melodies,
That twang of my heart with every beat.
So familiar this song,
That of love pain and broken dreams,
A love song, a sad song, her song.
As it plays she weeps,
She lives in this song,
Once upon a time so sweet.
He flows through every harmony,
Calling out to her,
Through every verse, like a curse,
It strums at memories,
Base bleeds.
As it plays she breathes,
Can’t bare the sound,
But she’s bound,
To live in this song,
Of promised dreams,
Each cord each note,
A reminder of his reverie.
Lost in song,
In its words, his words,
Dedicated to she,
As it plays,
She becomes one with he,
If only for a moment,
She’s filled complete,
Dancing in glory, in story,
She escapes reality,
As it plays,
It ends the sound of a love song,
Has come to an end.
