so I guess no one knows the answer to the question I posted previously, why did Dez write that if he is not going to back it up. He said the term Freestyle didn't even exist back then (I would quote him, but I don't know how to use that 'quote' button) I honestly don't remember what term was used, I think back then I didn't care what category a song/record fell under, as long as I like the beats and lyrics then it was all that mattered.

the Operator Remix is a bootleg mix and was mixed by a friend of mine here in my hometown - like the DJ Magic Stuff (what comes arround my place, too)

I have several other good songs (Remixes - Bass - Electro - Freestyle).

shit i dont know Girlnextdoor, but i think you'd be better off posting up a thread about this. i mean if the people come on to this particular thread its about their concerns towards in this case: what songs you consider freestyle not about no dj dez.
 
I'm sorry people. Ain't none of those songs Freestyle. I have to disagree with everyone that thinks Taylor Dayne is Freestyle. I agree with Orgntr1. As far as Spanish Fly is concerned, that is nowhere in the ballpark of being called Freestyle. Only a teeniebopper would consider that Freestyle. Here in TX the people do not know what true Freestyle is with the exception of like 3 deejays that I know, DJ Slik, DJ Slic Vic & DJ Powerstyle. But then again they are all older than 27.
 
Hey now MakeYa I aint but 21 and I can say Taylor Dayne isnt freestyle. I mean hell now I've seen a comp. with the song Girlfriend by Pebbles on it and thought WTF? Its not peeps in Tx not knowing nothing its just most peeps in general not knowing...

Don't quote me. I believe the term Freestyle became popular after the group Freestyle made the song. In Chicago we call it Heart Throb. In Tx they call it Latin Hip Hop. Also it has to do where you were brought up. The only reason I say the term "Freestyle" is because 99% of the Club Freestyle members would not have no idea what I am talking about. So I have to adapt to their knowledge.
