Anyone know the name of this song

I grew up in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. I still listen to and love freestyle music. I have been able to find and get copies of all my favorite songs except one. All i remember about the song is that it is a woman singing, and the chorus is "Drive my fancy car" It came out 1985-1987

It starts out like "We were once lovers, never loved any other, you thought I'd never recover from your love...Now look at me, shining like a star....and my fancy car..."

If that's it, then there are at least 2 versions, one by Denine and the other by MKG and the title is "Tearshed". In my opinion, the MKG version is better. It's on the "Sebastion, MKG & Friends" CD. It's one of the best CDs in my collection.

The minute I saw "Tears Shed" I remembered !! What a great song that is ! I heard it for the first time @ Roseland in 1985. Im going to try and find it on Napster, if i cant i will go to the link you attached. Thanks again

Dude, the song is Tearshed (one word). I'm sure you'll find it on Napster, if not, I can IM it to you. Let me know. The link is to CDNOW for info on that CD I mentioned. Like I said, it's a really good CD.

Sorry little typo on that.The Denine version is all over napster, so i will download that tonight I think that is the version I remember. I bought the Sebastian mkg also so i will have both. Thanks again ! It is greatly appreciated.
