hasnt happened to us ever since our house was built 11 years ago - the A/C finally decided to break down yesterday and at this point the inside thermostat reads 83 degrees. i went outside just now where heat index is 93 - and the outside temperature actually felt cooler than the inside. A/C technician isn't arriving till thursday. this morning i tried the fuses, and the machine started up once again -but for like 5 minutes, then it died and it hasnt worked since. thank god the heat wave is over & it's cooler tomorrow, but still! today was one of those cloudy muggy rainy days where it feels like a rainforest outside & this did not help the a/c-free situation inside my house.

our heater has a tendency to break down every winter so thats normal for us, but still i dont kno what's worse no heat in the dead of winter or no a/c in the middle of summer. anyone else had a/c troubles this hot summer yet?

Wow I can't stand the heat but Vinss-T that sucks 🙁

Thank goodness that hasn't happened to me cause I would be so upset and couldnt sleep :mad

Wow that sucks...mine hasn't broke down cuz my mom replaced the unit last year so we should be good

The one in my car on the other hand don't work I dunno why...so I gotta wear a tank top under everything and keep water handy

my ac hasnt broken down.

but it isnt exactly winning. its doing its best. its great ac. been there for 15 years now. and has always done good in every heat wave. but i think its loosing this battle.

shes doing her best. but its not even leaving the room llloll. not even makeing it to kitchen.

Your prob spending more money on the energy bill than it would cost to buy a new unit....

I only have a window unit, used to have a brand new 12,500 remote control a/c with timer. I bought it more for my daughter because she has asthma and the humidity is no good for her. Well, the ex stole that and said he sold it for $25. My sister gave me her old a/c but it keeps blowing the fuses in my house. One the other night and twice more last night, so we couldn't even use fans. OMG, it was sooooooo hot! :face
