Since 99 I have been on a role with no luck jobs that keep having something going down where my job is eliminated or in jeopardy where I have to jump ship before they give me the boot.
In June 99 I was let go from a compnay I was at for 8 years because they were sold and I was a product of a large downsize.
I then found a job right away in Sept 99. I was with that company for three months and they were sold and I left by July of 2000 because I found a job at a bank for more money and was afraid I'd be downsized anyway.
In June of 2002, I was let go from EAB bank after Citibank bought them out another downsize. Since that was after Sept 11th, I was out of work for 9 months till I found my current job which I started in March 2002 and is now in jeopardy again cause they want to eliminate the Long Island office and have everything out of the corporate headquarters in Jersey. I feel like I have this black cloud following me.

I'm feeling you. I've gone through the same thing since shortly after 9/11. The downsizing got me and then I became to experienced for any other position in my field. I had to take drastic pay cuts just to bring home some money. In the time since then I have had to sell my house and take a 40K pay cut. So now my wife and 4 kids are renting again and she had to take a job after being a stay at home mom for 14 years. Our youngest kid is 3 so things have been really tough for us.

I need to so desperately get back to where I was and to what I was bringing home. It's been tough trying to get the kids to understand that we don't have it like we used to.

Hang in there, stay positive and keep moving forward.

That is the best advice you can get.

Kxrider is right. Just keep on keepin' on. It's all we can do anyway.

Staying positive will help.

My attitude is this "They can't make obstacles I can't overcome".

That's something the Marine Corp kinda instilled in me.

Well thanks guys. It's nice to know I'm not the only one out here who keeps hitting these walls.
