Here's my try at poetry......

I lay awake at night
And wonder what went wrong.
Why our love is no longer
So beautiful and strong.

You left me all alone
My heart filled with so much pain.
If only you knew
How much sorrow it sustained.

Now time has passed
And my heart has recovered.
It now feels the passion
Given from another lover.

I now lay awake at night
And no longer think of you.
But of someone who's love
Is inviting and new!
