Angelino, I took a listen to your tracks on the the website and I am going to be honest I am not feeling the tracks, it feels like you're going 10 years back in time and I just can't see the music progressing if thats what these tracks are aiming for. No disrespect it's just my opinion and I just wanted to give you my honest feedback. Also I hear a lot that bothers my ear vocally and production wise if these are final mixed and mastered versions. I am not trying to be cocky but I will always be honest about my feedback.
Trust me I got simular feeback to my earlier music back in 1989 and the best thing I ever did was take that advice and help my self grow as an artist and I am still not finish learning, we have never finish learning.

I think thats what Tony's point is. I also listened to them and I have to agree with Tony and I feel he addressed it very well.... There alot of tracks being put out with exactly how I quoted you as saying. And that is the problem if your putting out something that represents you put out the best representation of yourself and you abilities... If you love your songs then show them the love they should get from you and AIM high If this is what you want to do take the necessary steps you need to build yourself as an artist get the right tools..ex vocal coach find an honest producer who's not going to just take your money, but has some pride not to let work that is not up to par out the studio with his name on it. But if your just putting out music for the hell of it.. dont market it just give copies to your friends. Cause then your encouraging others to flood the market with bad music and making our movement go two steps backward for everyone step forward

Angelino, if you're doing the music just to record for you're own listening pleasure, my bad I had no idea you were recording just for the love of freestyle music. I apologize I sometimes just get a bit confused when the NEW SCHOOL music sounds OLD, but I totally understand if it's just that you want to listen to yourself singing tracks that you have recorded. Good luck and have fun. Oh and remember "AIMING HIGH IS NOT A BAD THING.? THAT IS WHAT THIS MUSIC NEEDS IF ANYTHING.

New school will be excepted.......maybee not by old school die hards who have been bashing any thing released since 95 til now...but it will be excepted. San Antonio ..along with Dallas..Has done a good job in targeting a younger audience. So Has California. So hopefully even with a "10 year old sound" It will still be received as a new sound with a younger Generation who has no clue what they listning to. Just look at XSCAPE and MISSY Using That "10 year old sound" The Klubb Jumpers Make Good Beats In my oppinion...In fact I would say more on the progressive tip then old school tip.

As A producer My self..Heres The Thing..You Can only PROGRESS Freestyle To an extent Until Youve crossed over the line and are making a BREAK BEAT song or a TRANCE song. and WE DO FREESTYLE. It is what it is..

Angelino I commend you for taking the feed back so well. You do what you feel is right. i for one haven't heard the cd so I will hold my tongue. If one thing I know is that in order to grow you have to be able to take the criticsimn(spell ck) and move on. So good for you Angelino.

I am by no means trying to downplay Angelinos true heart for wanting to do music, and by no means am I trying to overlook the work Angelino has put into his album. One thing I am about is being real and honest about what I hear.
In this business you need to cater to many markets not just 1 and it's not easy by no means. I commend Angelino for moving forward with his music and I beleive anyone with that passion should strive for the very best their music can be. Someone gave me this same advice over 11 years ago and and I thank him so much for his honesty because all my friends would tell me man that song is great , or you sound great, but those were my friends and they didn't want to discourage me or let me down. The truth be told I took a good listen to my music, song and vocals and said who am I kidding , this is not good at all. I was a slave to my bedroom , and by that I mean no friends , no girl friends just strictly listening over and over in my room to my self and finding bits and pieces that I know needed to be worked on. I wanted nothing at that time bit to aim high and get the talent I felt I had out of me.
Till this day I still challenge myself to exceed and I learn something new everyday.
So please don't think I am trying to dii Angelinos efforts, because thats not my intentions. My intention is to bring what I feel Angelino really has deep inside out to it's full potential.
Don't take my critic as nothing more than encouragement to strive for more.

ANGELINO, it's not about pleasing people with your music. There are people who don't care for Nu Image music but it's not because the music is bad it's because they are accustomed to a certain sound and don't care to stray from that sound. So in final it's about doing music that sounds good period. No matter if it's R&B, HIP HOP, FREESTYLE or what have you. A bad recording is a bad recording period no matter what style of music. Pourly recorded , produced or written tracks is what i am talking about not a style of music and for the record I heard plenty of tracks on that site and nothing moved me, so it's absolutely nothing against you.

i meant by not everyone is going to like my music.....i have no control of who is going to like it or not.....believe me.....no disrespect to you bro......i understand you weren't feeling it......cool....let's move on from this........i'm glad your being honest and i admire you for that.....i am working on another project and believe me bro....i will follow your advice......

angelino you seem like your taking these comments very well unlike some artist who calls it hatin if you dont like a certain something..Keep doing what you do its always great to hear feedback from fellow artist and fans.I was in the same boat..I then relaized I had to step back and grow as an artist so that when I am ready I will be 100% .,..Even Tony g helped me way back let mem know I needed some work on a few things and I went back to the drawing board and got a vocal caoch and took it real serious...You seem like you got your heart in the right place and I am so shocked on how well you took the comments ...Most peeps be running around with knee pads sukin up and kising ass but when your able to get honest feedback that you can actually benefit from and take it well then your half way there papa wish you the best..Its very rare that an artist doesnt go balistic after being critized lol..
 
When I originally posted my feedback this thread had 1,499 views since then this thread has hit 1,729 views thats 240 views and it has received about 7 posts since then not including mine and Angelinos. The point is people are curious but not quick to respond, that goes to show you whats real and whats not Angelino. The LURKERS, lol

thank you ma.....i put all my money and tears and sweat into my album....i went through some rough times but still managed to continue and finish my album....yeah....some people like it some don't....o well.....i'm not gonna sit and cry everytime i hear someone doesn't like it......what good will that do......done......so i'm taking it as a leasson well learned.....i am happy with what i accoplished so far.....i can honestly say....i tried it...i liked it....and i want to continue to do it.....nothing can stop me.....i still got more in me.....roads to travel, people to meet and music to do.....i love freestyle music....and will continue to do it even when i'm all old n shit.......lol......
