YES I WAS AWARE OF THE DRAMA AND PRETTY SHOCKED TOO....BUT IT GOES TO SHOW THAT NOBODY IS EXEMPT FROM BEING AT THE BOTTOM ...JOSH SHOULD'VE BEEN BOOTED NEXT BUT AT THE SAME TIME WE KNOW TRENYCE ALSO IS NOT GONNA MAKE IT ...IT PROBABLY DOESN'T MATTER IN WHICH ORDER THEY GO IN THE END IT MIGHT JUST BE CLAY AND REUBEN....I WANT RUEBEN TO WIN.

I don't think people are confused about the voting process, but maybe you are right about fellow Marines voting for him just because he is a Marine too!

I have to admit though... I do love Rueben and I think he should win, so on Tuesday {{ducking my head}} I called and voted for Josh. I was so sure that Rueben had enough calls to keep him safe so I wasn't worried about him. I just didn't want to see Josh go just yet. I think he has talent (yes, in the country genre).

I PROMISE TO VOTE FROM MY OPINION OF WHO SHOULD WIN AND NOT BECAUSE I WAS AFRAID THEY WOULD BE VOTED OFF!!! Especially since that is the object of the show.

(((OK, I voted for Josh for my kids because of the above mentioned reason,... I just didn't want everyone to jump on my boys))) 😉

Look, everyone is entitled to like who they like..whether it is Josh, Clay, Ruben, etc. It was just very surprising to see Ruben in the bottom 2 last night...and if he had been voted off instead of Trenyce, it would have been just like last season with Tamyra Gray. You can be sure Ruben will sing his heart out next week, and I hope he stays and makes it to the finals. Hey, even Justin Guarini was in the bottom 2 or 3 at one point and he made it to the end. So Ruben still has a good shot at making it!!

I really think Josh is getting a lot of votes simply because he is a Marine...and that isnt what this contest is about!! And it drives me nuts because Simon once told him to make up his mind and decide whether he is a country singer or not...yet he still continues to put on the country voice sometimes and not others. And when he sang that 60s song in the country voice I couldnt help but cringe! There is no way he could or should win this contest.

WELL NO MATTER WHICH WAY YOU CUT IT...HE'S NOT EVEN COMING CLOSE TO MAKING IT TO THE FINAL 2....BESIDES WHEN HE SANG THE SECOND SONG HE ALMOST FORGOT THE WORDS...DON'T KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE CAUGHT IT BUT I DID...AND THAT WAS SAD.
 
I did catch him messing up the words...I think he has been very nervous since last week when he was in the bottom 2, and you could see how shocked even he was when Ruben was in the bottom 2 this week and not him. I swear, this is so reminiscent of last season and what happened with Tamyra Gray and Nikki McKibbin....to this day I dont understand how Nikki made it to the Final 3!!! And guess what she's doing these days? Selling Karoake machines, while Tamyra has a cd coming out soon that Clive Davis produced!!! So I guess the ones that deserve to win truly do when all is said and done!

yeah well the ones that are real good already have their record deals just awaiting a signature...no matter who is left in the end others will be signed as well.
 
I THINNK IT'S BETWEEN RUBEN AND CLAY. AS FAR AS CLAY I'M STILL WONDERING WHERE THAT VOICE IS COMING FROM. AND WITH RUBEN...HIS VOICE JUST BLOWS ME AWAY. IF RUBEN DOSEN'T WIN...THIS COMPETITION IS FIXED. AND I'LL BE SENDING THE "TALIBAN" OVER THERE TO SHOW HOW MAD I AM. :lol

Good news!!

The votes really don't matter; the fate of the winners lie in the hands of Simon and the producers. There is a chance if Clay wins the votes, Ruben may still win.
 
No I dont think that is the case....it is the public's votes that count. However, it doesnt mean the runner-up wont get a record deal. Look, Justin Guarini had Babyface working on his cd!!

Clay has such a truly beautiful, pure voice. It doesnt surprise me that his idols are Peter Cetera and Jon Secada...he could be right up there with them. Did you hear what Neil Sedaka said to him the other night? That he would love to write and produce for him?? I really hope Clay goes far because if anyone deserves it, it's him.

oK, Now the way I heard it was...

The contestants had to sign a contract that they had to complete the show to the end... and the only way out was to be voted off...


Now, the way I heard it is.. the guy that proceduced Aaliyah (forgot his name) is interested in Rueben (he's from the same 205 area code and all).

If Rueben wins, he'll have a contract with Simon's label but this other guy wants him and wants to give him a better deal so it's said that he and all his "people" voted for everyone else but Ruben in order for him to be voted off.

I know it sounds retarded... but hey, it's totally believable because there is no other way that Rueben shouldn't win this.

Anything is possible..none of us could really know just what goes on behind the scenes..we can only hope it's legitimate. Let's see what happens this week as far as the votes go!!
